**Psalm 144 - Modern English Version (MEV)**

```Dust
Psalm 144
<1> Blessed be the Lord my strength, who prepares my hands for war, and my fingers to fight; <2> my goodness, and my fortress; my high tower, and my deliverer, my shield, and in whom I trust; who subdues nations under me. <3> O Lord, who is man that You take notice of him or the son of a man that You make account of him? <4> Man is like a breath; his days are as a shadow that passes away. <5> Bow your heavens, O Lord, and come down; touch the mountains, and they shall smoke. <6> Cast forth lightning, and scatter them; shoot out Your arrows, and destroy them. <7> Send Your hand from above; rescue me, and deliver meout of the great waters, from the hand of foreigners, <8> whose mouth speaks lies, and their right hand is a right hand of falsehood. <9> I will sing a new song unto You, O God, on a harp and an instrument of ten strings I will sing praises unto You; <10> it is He who gives victory to kings, who delivers David His servant from the cruel sword. <11> Rescue me and deliver me from the hand of foreigners, whose mouths speak lies and whose right hand is a right hand of falsehood. <12> May our sons in their youth be like plants full grown, and our daughters like cornerstones, cut in the similitude of a palace, <13> that our granaries may be full, providing all manner of produce, that our sheep may bring forth thousands and ten thousands in our fields, <14> and may our cattle be strong in labor. May there be no breaking in or going out, and no wailing in our streets. <15> Blessed are the people who have such things; indeed, blessed are the people whose God is the Lord. ```
Since Q has been saying, "Be ready" and Posting Eph 6 again, I thought that not only are we being told to be ready as in prep wise, but also spiritually. This morning, I spent my time going over the Armour scripture and pondering what it really meant. I know that I have studied this before, and I am sure many of you did too. However, I tend to forget sometimes and am pretty sure some of you do too. Chuck Missler is pretty in depth, so I went to his teaching on it. After 9 pages of notes on both sides of the page, I summarized and meditated on it and thought I would share a few key points.
2019-07-25 17:06:17 UTC
To break it down simply, it is about knowing the truth of what the gospel is and how to use it in battle, in witnessing to others, in knowing your assurance in security in Christ Jesus, in memorizing it and having it hidden in your hearts and for a map on how to live. We are to guard our hearts, the most vital thing in our walk with Christ. This is done by guarding your reactions, guarding what you watch and listen to, thinking before you speak and act, forgive, and generally by trying to live in God's character.
2019-07-25 17:11:08 UTC
Most importantly, questioning yourself in how you are spending your time. Are you spending it wisely? And, last but far from least is PRAYING continually and habitually i.e. public and private, deliberate and spontaneous, supplications and intercessions, confession and humiliation, and what should be at the top of our prayers is, praise and thanksgiving.
Matthew 12 King James Version (KJV)
12 At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn and to eat.
2 But when the Pharisees saw it, they said unto him, Behold, thy disciples do that which is not lawful to do upon the sabbath day.
3 But he said unto them, Have ye not read what David did, when he was an hungred, and they that were with him;
4 How he entered into the house of God, and did eat the shewbread, which was not lawful for him to eat, neither for them which were with him, but only for the priests?
5 Or have ye not read in the law, how that on the sabbath days the priests in the temple profane the sabbath, and are blameless?
6 But I say unto you, That in this place is one greater than the temple.
7 But if ye had known what this meaneth, I will have mercy, and not sacrifice, ye would not have condemned the guiltless.
2019-09-14 00:21:51 UTC
8 For the Son of man is Lord even of the sabbath day.
9 And when he was departed thence, he went into their synagogue:
10 And, behold, there was a man which had his hand withered. And they asked him, saying, Is it lawful to heal on the sabbath days? that they might accuse him.
11 And he said unto them, What man shall there be among you, that shall have one sheep, and if it fall into a pit on the sabbath day, will he not lay hold on it, and lift it out?
12 How much then is a man better than a sheep? Wherefore it is lawful to do well on the sabbath days.
13 Then saith he to the man, Stretch forth thine hand. And he stretched it forth; and it was restored whole, like as the other.
14 Then the Pharisees went out, and held a council against him, how they might destroy him.
15 But when Jesus knew it, he withdrew himself from thence: and great multitudes followed him, and he healed them all;
16 And charged them that they should not make him known:
17 That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by Esaias the prophet, saying,
18 Behold my servant, whom I have chosen; my beloved, in whom my soul is well pleased: I will put my spirit upon him, and he shall shew judgment to the Gentiles.
2019-09-14 00:22:08 UTC
19 He shall not strive, nor cry; neither shall any man hear his voice in the streets.
20 A bruised reed shall he not break, and smoking flax shall he not quench, till he send forth judgment unto victory.
21 And in his name shall the Gentiles trust.
22 Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind, and dumb: and he healed him, insomuch that the blind and dumb both spake and saw.
23 And all the people were amazed, and said, Is not this the son of David?
24 But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by Beelzebub the prince of the devils.
25 And Jesus knew their thoughts, and said unto them, Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation; and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand:
26 And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself; how shall then his kingdom stand?
27 And if I by Beelzebub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? therefore they shall be your judges.
28 But if I cast out devils by the Spirit of God, then the kingdom of God is come unto you.
29 Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house, and spoil his goods, except he first bind the strong man? and then he will spoil his house.
2019-09-14 00:23:03 UTC
30 He that is not with me is against me; and he that gathereth not with me scattereth abroad.
31 Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men.
32 And whosoever speaketh a word against the Son of man, it shall be forgiven him: but whosoever speaketh against the Holy Ghost, it shall not be forgiven him, neither in this world, neither in the world to come.
33 Either make the tree good, and his fruit good; or else make the tree corrupt, and his fruit corrupt: for the tree is known by his fruit.
34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh.
35 A good man out of the good treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things: and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things.
36 But I say unto you, That every idle word that men shall speak, they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment.
37 For by thy words thou shalt be justified, and by thy words thou shalt be condemned.
38 Then certain of the scribes and of the Pharisees answered, saying, Master, we would see a sign from thee.
2019-09-14 00:23:22 UTC
39 But he answered and said unto them, An evil and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given to it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas:
40 For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale's belly; so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the heart of the earth.
41 The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here.
42 The queen of the south shall rise up in the judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: for she came from the uttermost parts of the earth to hear the wisdom of Solomon; and, behold, a greater than Solomon is here.
43 When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, and findeth none.
44 Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out; and when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished.
45 Then goeth he, and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter in and dwell there: and the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation.
46 While he yet talked to the people, behold, his mother and his brethren stood without, desiring to speak with him.
47 Then one said unto him, Behold, thy mother and thy brethren stand without, desiring to speak with thee.
48 But he answered and said unto him that told him, Who is my mother? and who are my brethren?
49 And he stretched forth his hand toward his disciples, and said, Behold my mother and my brethren!
50 For whosoever shall do the will of my Father which is in heaven, the same is my brother, and sister, and mother.
```Dust

<16> "For God so <greatly> loved and dearly prized the world, that He <even> gave His <One and> only begotten Son, so that whoever believes and trusts in Him <as Savior> shall not perish, but have eternal life. <17> For God did not send the Son into the world to judge and condemn the world <that is, to initiate the final judgment of the world> , but that the world might be saved through Him. <18> Whoever believes and has decided to trust in Him <as personal Savior and Lord> is not judged <for this one, there is no judgment, no rejection, no condemnation> ; but the one who does not believe <and has decided to reject Him as personal Savior and Lord> is judged already <that one has been convicted and sentenced> , because he has not believed and trusted in the name of the <One and> only begotten Son of God <the One who is truly unique, the only One of His kind, the One who alone can save him>. <19> This is the judgment <that is, the cause for indictment, the test by which people are judged, the basis for the sentence> : the Light has come into the world, and people loved the darkness rather than the Light, for their deeds were evil. <20> For every wrongdoer hates the Light, and does not come to the Light <but shrinks from it> for fear that his <sinful, worthless> activities will be exposed and condemned. ```

<21> "You have heard that it was said to the men of old, 'You shall not murder,' and 'Whoever murders shall be guilty before the court.' <22> But I say to you that everyone who continues to be angry with his brother or harbors malice against him shall be guilty before the court; and whoever speaks <contemptuously and insultingly> to his brother, 'Raca (You empty-headed idiot)!' shall be guilty before the supreme court (Sanhedrin); and whoever says, 'You fool!' shall be in danger of the fiery hell. <23> So if you are presenting your offering at the altar, and while there you remember that your brother has something <such as a grievance or legitimate complaint> against you, <24> leave your offering there at the altar and go. First make peace with your brother, and then come and present your offering. <25> Come to terms quickly <at the earliest opportunity> with your opponent at law while you are with him on the way <to court> , so that your opponent does not hand you over to the judge, and the judge to the guard, and you are thrown into prison. ```
