It's hard to convey how deeply people feel about the queen @Aavelle The national psyche would be affected deeply if she was unseated in any way. I think she would need to depart naturally. I think people are less invested in the younger royals but William and Kate are regarded highly too, just not like the Queen.

i think she's probably the most popular royal for the reasons you mentioned but most people i know could live without the royals and don't have much love for them
mostly view them as parasites
who are way out of touch with the british people
