@Happy Humble Hermit My fave thus far has been the H&K VP9, though I have many hours with a Beretta M9 and Kimber 1911. If you have a local firing range, most will let you rent to try them out. Get something that feels solid in your hands, and has a decent track record for performance and reliability.
