@SH3LLSH0CK I actually agree that historical accuracy does not validate the religion. I didn't realize that was the argument we were making, that if it's historically accurate it must validate the religious concepts.
I'm not saying that history should be discredited. I'm just saying that it should be looked at carefully.
@felldie1496 Then we agree on that, too.
👀
Yeah, Jesus could have lived 2000 years ago, he could have existed.
But if he did or did not do the things that the bible says, is what i'm skeptical at.
Look at the religions actions. people point ask the crusades to discredit christianity which is retarded. Look at what it created in the west and you have your answer.
Sorry for starting this
Believe whatever you want, @Undertow I don't think it'll help much in the afterlife (if you think one exists) anyway.
Idc
I put the ball in the hoop
@felldie1496 Have I, at all, made any argument that because evidence exists that he was real means he performed a bunch of miracles?
In the end, it doesn't matter.
If i die and he judges me, then i'll go and mix lava with my ass in hell.
Well, I don't pretend to know whether one exists or not.
I put the uhh... ball in the... basketball uhh **hoop**
@Five, Seven, and Two No, i'm just sayin'
Da hoop
Yes please change the subject
HOOPS
wtf is this hoops shit lol
At the same time, there is nothing new under the sun. Every aspect of religion/philosophy has been beaten like a dead horse, and at some point you just have to see what values and actions lead to a constructive system of mortal life a.k.a maximizing individual freedom.
Religion is always an interesting topic
Even if I have nothing to say on it
We can talk about YorHa's finest, 2B.
Makes people more nervous than female nature. I thoroughly enjoy that aspect of it.
If only men were this passionate about seeing themselves as the primary priority in their lives.
Ok, ok, let's change the subject.
What are your thoughts on death. Are you afraid of it?
@Whats gay anymore How people choose which actions they take is one of the more interesting aspects of this life.
@felldie1496 depends is Jesus real?
j/k
lol
@felldie1496 Don't care as long as it's quick.
I'm not afraid of death, I'm afraid of the pain that could possibly accompany it.
@felldie1496 Death is a biological reality. To fear it is to fear inevitability. And I don't really see the sense in fearing something that is guaranteed to happen.
@Five, Seven, and Two Can we all agree that Islam is garage?
What I am terrified of is becoming a prisoner in my own body or losing my mind to dementia or Alzheimer's.
I used to be insanely scared of death, 8-15years old. Then one day I woke up and the fear was gone, I accept it'll happen and what I do with my limited time is all that matters.
@Five, Seven, and Two I'm also not afraid of death. In fact, i'm too curious about it.
I'll walk off into Death Valley without water if I get that diagnosis.
@Five, Seven, and Two Unless transhumanism becomes a thing.
If you want to die without pain, use a guillotine.
