You boys and your stocks
Higher men etc, doesn't mean shit without a culture or society backing it
Society and culture were created by higher men and more importantly, supermen
just men..
standing on the shoulders of giants
ie other men
IE higher men and supermen
the lemmings enjoy it and thats all they do
i want to reply with some good shit that will wipe you off your feet, but im just a lemming lol
TFM recently spoke at length about Nietzsche. I realized that I should actually read his writings as opposed to dismissing him as I once did.
Then you are the last man
I LOVE NIETZCHE!!
@BigTyrone You should read more of him, then.
i do amazing shit day to day at my job, but i stand on the backs of the men before me
i am
@Rhunespire What made you dismiss him?
I took others at their word that he was a nihilist.
i am a little piece of shit in the universe without the rest of it all i guess
@Rhunespire Ah. That's a shame.
I should have done due diligence and verified for myself
However, this is a problem easily rectified
Nah, plenty of people walk away from him engulfed in nihilism, it's easy to make the assumption.
"you want, if possible-and there is no more insane "if possible"-to abolish suffering. And we? it really seems that we would rather have it higher and worse than ever... The discipline of suffering, of great suffering -do you not know that only this discipline has created all enhancements of man so far?" (beyond good and evil)
But, as with all philosophers: don't dabble.
Perhaps that's why. The way TFM explained it the other day showed me that I was operating on false assumptions.
So do most people who read him.
@BigTyrone sounds like damage control! ....shit let me think a little more
we are human, all too human
Nietzsche is too good man
Which is why we quote philosophers out of context to fit our narratives.
noo....
I don't see anything wrong with that
Do what?
it's a lot of think in a statement
quote something out of context to fit your narrative, if it follows your narrative then why not quote it
And if your narrative is incorrect?
Then reality will tell me so, nothing like a good slap in the face of reality
I've always thought he was a nihilist, I need to read it myself as well
I suggest Thus Spoke Zarathustra
@BigTyrone i got your message, deep shit, still thinking, but thanks for reply
