I think something that we tend to overlook is the “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” mindset. Girls receive attention, money, their problems are taken care of, etc. their entire lives until they hit the wall and become invisible. This is true. But, for some boys, they can keep their 16 year old mindset and never change because it keeps “working.” It’s not sustainable, they’re going to be divorce raped once they marry, and they likely aren’t self-actualizing or dedicating themselves to something greater than themselves (like the sciences, the arts, computer fields, industry, etc.)

So we have two problems. The first and obvious one is female nature. Egalitarianism, feminism, and blue pill lifestyle in general is misguided and expects far too much from women.

2019-03-05 07:53:05 UTC

and the second?

2019-03-05 07:53:11 UTC

The second one is prolonged adolescence into their 20s.

2019-03-05 07:53:23 UTC

Men and women

2019-03-05 07:53:30 UTC

Prolonged adolescence is an interesting topic.

2019-03-05 07:53:42 UTC

who decides what that entails?

2019-03-05 07:54:25 UTC

There is an assumption that 16 year old males are not of sound mind and character.

2019-03-05 07:55:08 UTC

It’s not *entirely* their fault. I could go on about the economy, housing market, labor, etc. but we all know how shitty it is and how bad real wages are in today’s economy. Not to mention all the debt and quantitive easing. It’s hard to save, it’s damn near impossible to afford a house, you HAVE to have a two-income household nowadays, it’s just really shitty and depressing.

2019-03-05 07:55:59 UTC

This is interesting though, because that also assumes that having a house means something specific.

2019-03-05 07:56:36 UTC

Is this based in traditionalist social dynamics and expectations?

2019-03-05 07:56:55 UTC

Yard, dog, swingset, and complete with a white picket fence, 2.1 kids, and a two car garage.

2019-03-05 07:57:02 UTC

What does prolonged adolescence mean to you?

2019-03-05 07:58:12 UTC

lol I would pick out the swingset from that bunch. The rest is meh.

2019-03-05 07:58:42 UTC

Instant gratification, not taking control of their actions, not realizing that individuals are responsible for the collective. Nobody has your back but you, mommy and daddy shouldn’t be helping you. Man-children

2019-03-05 07:58:57 UTC

Ahhhhhhh. Interesting.

2019-03-05 07:59:11 UTC

MAN-CHILDREN. Interesting.

2019-03-05 07:59:28 UTC

you don’t have to be a fedora tipper and humblebrag about how many books you read. But it’s just....lack of self-awareness

2019-03-05 08:00:19 UTC

Hm.... So men are responsible for the collective? Collective being the human race?

2019-03-05 08:02:30 UTC

Kinda? Idk, I’m trying to figure this out as I go. It’s like, you can’t change the world, but you can make some changes in your life to do something worthwhile. It’s easy to say “it’s inevitable” and “it can’t be helped.” But if you can start with yourself, and maybe others did that too, then we wouldn’t be as fucked as we are today

2019-03-05 08:03:04 UTC

But most people, like simps and women, don’t want to worry about that. They just want to do what works and whatever makes their teachers and mommy and daddy happy.

2019-03-05 08:04:08 UTC

Well... The idea that we are "fucked" is subjective. I would not say that I'M fucked. Where do you get this idea that we are born to do something worthwhile to potentially change the world?

2019-03-05 08:04:33 UTC

Where do these responsibilities come from that are born into us?

2019-03-05 08:06:06 UTC

I don’t know, man. Maybe it isn’t for everyone, and yeah I guess most people just want to sleepwalk through life. But it’s just frustrating seeing people pay into the same systems that are ruining us, defend them, then shame others for walking away from it

2019-03-05 08:06:16 UTC

I think that’s just always the way it’s going to be though

2019-03-05 08:06:44 UTC

Also, that second part about simps is interesting as well... Who are the simps and what makes you sure that they go to school or are interested in their parent's acceptance?

2019-03-05 08:07:49 UTC

What exactly is sleepwalking through life to you? If a person is living for themselves and not saving the world, then are they in a state of prolonged adolescence?

2019-03-05 08:09:01 UTC

Also... If you don't know where these beliefs of human responsibility come from, how can you expect others to live by them? You don't know where they came from for yourself?

2019-03-05 08:09:50 UTC

I guess it’s just immaturity. Women can be excused for their immaturity, they’ll never face any consequences for it. The simps, blue pilled men, herd, slave morality that keep their head down and don’t want to see the truth.

2019-03-05 08:11:07 UTC

Hm.. and is it hard to understand why these men operate this way? Or why women are excused from their responsibilities? Or are you just at odds with it.

2019-03-05 08:11:54 UTC

I think both. It’s frustrating seeing all of it in motion

2019-03-05 08:14:33 UTC

Ok. Well "immaturity" is often painted in a broad brush and often used by people to direct others to do their bidding (adhere to their demands). Immaturity is BS. No one is born to do anything, we as a society have come together under a set of agreed upon rules (laws) and unfortunately these rules have been swayed in the favor of women. Prolonged adolescence is another zinger used to get men back to doing their part with no benefit.

2019-03-05 08:15:18 UTC

So are you a MGTOW? and what responsibilities do you feel men have to society?

2019-03-05 08:15:34 UTC

Yeah I can see that. Why put it in all the work and take on responsibility for no reward?

2019-03-05 08:16:42 UTC

Yeah. To work with their hands, self-actualisation, and find meaning

2019-03-05 08:17:09 UTC

I think it's important to remember that these dreams and goals that we're told to achieve were given to us by society. Wife, kids, house. That doesn't have anything to do with your birth, life or death.

2019-03-05 08:17:14 UTC

I guess I fall in line with Sandman’s take on it

2019-03-05 08:19:04 UTC

So if you believe that men are born to self-actualize and find meaning, why believe in "prolonged adolescence"? Are these immature men not doing those things?

2019-03-05 08:19:10 UTC

Right, you’re free from society’s burdens and any expectations or demands they put on you. You can go your own way your own way, but I’m not one of the “enjoy the collapse” types

2019-03-05 08:19:16 UTC

The seeds need to be planted today so trees can eventually grow.
