I don't understand why some guys want MGTOW to change things or why so many MGTOW focus on women so much.

There's a lot of variety in those people.

The good ones see society is cruising for a bruising and wants to stop the cancer from killing the patient.

Well for the first, MGTOW is not a solution to change society. It is a solution for the individual man. People who want that do not understand MGTOW. (And likely in my experince are just trying to convert MGTOW men to their cause of TradCon, Cuckery, or MRA ness.)
For the second, one of the core parts of MGTOW is understanding the red pill (the reality of male and female nature)
so you do need to talk about women to cover that.
Also most men are in the earlier stages of understanding the red pill so they will talk about women more than not because they are still learning.

The not so good ones are still just in red pill rage and are working through the grief.

2. You're their friend, and are rarely/never attracted to them.

@Drogo_Baggins Good start.. Depending on the type of work you are loking for (anything where women have quotas or like to work) I still strongly advocate for getting diagnosed with gender disphoria and getting your drivers liscense changed to female. The only reason I have not done so yet is because I plan to look for work overseas where that may not help me so much.

That is one of the core principles of Leykis 101.

Be in their presence and then ignore them.

Ignoring them gets their attention. that's suicide in the #MeToo era.

Now if you are looking for construction or difficult work where women don't work but one might just be in HR then don't focus on that and instead just be polite and you won't see her very often.
