I always thought to myself “Great, it’s so good that we all learn history now and can take away from its lessons and prevent the atrocities that happened in the past”. Not only understanding history, but being able to relate certain parts of history to modern day

Almost all things are exact parallels for events or movements that have happened in the past. It’s just that only a small portion of people actually learn history and can extract lessons from it.
