i think, and would like confirmation, that the conglomerate bought the Dollar Shave Club
Just as ure national bank is actually owned by private company
Unless u live in Syria or north korea
What a coincidence huh

My bank is state ran *grins*
Yes, very much a "coincidence"
and uruguay is capitalist
Same with media
Alot of the channels if not the majority have the same parent company
I saw a conpulation video of the same news represented on the different channels
and then you have these tards arguing that under capitalism monopolies dont exists....
Copy paste
Ofc they do
Capitalism aint perfect
and there's something to gain by eleminating the competition by wither merging or destruction
Ask Teddy Roosevelt

Competition is important
of course
The problem is when companies get so much money and power they start lobbying and buying politicians
Iron sharpens iron
They use that to push for regulations to squeeze out the smaller buisnesses to take over more of the market
when the oil embargo hit the amiercan car maker didnt know how to compact, now they sort of know
and the american car buyer realized that a small car didnt have to be shit
If the car company was state run and went bankrupt because ppl didnt wanna buy theire cars anymore becuz shit quality. The state would pay them out of bankrupcy with tax money
Never creating an incentiv for the company to actually improve theire cars

Larger corporations have increased barriers to entry. In the 70s small companies could compete to some scale. Not the capital is impossible to get.
Its very expensive to invest in the norwegian market, so the big oil companies move theire production facilities to south korea. Mean thousands of people on the production line lose theire job
at least Uruguay has Zaonas francas
tax free regions
the only condition is to employ 75% local workforce
Theres too much regulations now making it hard for small buisnesses. Meanwhile the big companies bypass alot of these by moving to other countries then selling the product back home
Hard to compete with that if ure a small buisness
one of the big moves by the local nominally left government
to give loans and help to startups
Here they wanted to implement a wealth tax. Which is basically a double taxation. Arguing it would help small buisnesses compete.
Go Labour party
