@BlaqShiep Yeah OPM is great, although it is not the typical shounen jump story, but still genious in its own way
You guys might like. The rising of the sheild hero as well .
The first episode is something that gets discussed on MGTOW channels every now and then so I thought that was interesting .
Yeah cracked me up... It appealed to another male experience, inability to relate.
Never heard of that in MGTOW or outside, can you give ma link to some clip
@BlaqShiep I OPM you dont really relate to Saitame as much, as the the side characters i think, and how they relate to each other
I meant the personal experience of not being able to relate to others, i do relate most with Saitame, in an allegorical sense.
Saitama is like a father figure in that universe, if all goes to shit, there he is, waiting to clean the mess. But lets be honest, the main gist of the show is comedy, and how ridicilous the problems of others are compared to the god Saitama
@PhysX I could tell you if you want or DM it to you so I won't ruin it for otthers that might be interested in a spoil free experience
All good stories are embedded with several different perspectives. What i got from OPM is not what you got thats ok... And that is me being honest. Lets reiterate what you said 10 mins ago. "To each their own."
Unless he's a furry, pedo, muslim, feminist, or vegan.
Just found a EP 1 "Dub", ugh thats ghastly, I will check it later on sites
@BlaqShiep Fair enough, perhaps tell your perspective, I might learn something
I prefer the Sub maybe gogoanime has it
Thats what I said, i hate dub 😄
Kissanime is pretty decent too
Some Dub is pretty good but that's mainly 90s anime amd the list is very short
Saitame wasnt born that way. He created his own regimen and adhered to it consistently, on his own... He had faith in himself and was bestowed great power. This set him apart from his peers to where he no longer can relate to the struggles of others
ah... the satisfaction of a good workout
@BlaqShiep Yeah I agree with you, he indeed went through a hard path for 3 years. I suppose he is somewhat relatable. Only we mostly if not only see him in his final form
I see the comedy from Saitama's perspective. For example, the scene where Genos is telling his back story, the music and his tone of the scene increase in intensity. Saitama is first, polite, listening... But he keeps going on and on and on until he can no longer listen out of politeness
What you dont workout? Thats no good man
That scene was gold
yeah its such great anime meta commentary
i love OPM for the same reason i cant watch alot of animes
@BlaqShiep Yea that was pretty funny 😄
Me ? I do but I didn't today (yet) because of how sick I feel. @PhysX
it also takes a dig at comic books for how absurd the villain premises are
its like the most self aware anime that is also an anime in the world
OPM is pretty much a parody of the Shounen Jump genre, im pretty sure One, the creater said something in that way, i am paraphrasing ofc
well im glad that THEY know anime is ridiculous
thats all i need to know
it brings me joy
@dizzy i do believe its a satire and comedy at heart, but a fortunate side effect is that the author can no longer use constant and unending improvement and triumph as a premise
i mean alot of the tropes are
back stories, expository dialogue, fan service, awkward script writing
I mean in whole as a concept, do you watch anime at all?
no i like anime i grew up on naruto bleach sailor moon dbz one piece
