@dizzy it felt as if the entire society felt they were doomed eventually
Sorry i was browsing some stuff, what anime are we talking about now?
Ohh okay .just curisous. I thought a travel one would be interesting since I'm sure many of us would like to travel sometime.
those people did not act depressed enough
Any chance you can link a clip or the episode?
i dunno it should have felt like saving private ryan and that wasnt what the characters were emoting
ummm its here and there
I dont think clips work here
Maybe though not sure
Try kicking it in the chat
Even before the final fight with the germans in SPR... They had a story time where matt damon tells a story about his brother in which he laughs
But even that was not tonally deaf from my perspective... It fit the situation and the characters
you know the scene where the guy polishes a gun and kills himself?
aot
Do not lemme look it up tho
What anime are you talking about? WW2 shippuuden?
its not important i guess i just find anime dialogue distracting
and i guess the long winded nature of it take sme out of it
Short clip... But whats wrong with jt
@dizzy i enjoy these types of discussions im not trying to prove you wrong or shut you down
so like the reaction to him killing himself
should be what everyone is feeling all the time
As for long winded, it did do a bit of it, but no where near dbz or naruto
there should be no moments of levity. it should be gritty and real
@dizzy can you try to describe another scene where the reactions dont fit
Have you all watched Black Lagoon?
@dizzy well in general, me personally, i dont believe that gritty and real needs to exclude all moments of levity. But, i dont feel aot did that... Its been awhile since i watched it though.
Either way im curious in what you saw. Helps me better understand the world
@BlaqShiep okok so theres this scene where mikasa kills a titan infront of this little girl. the little girl looks at her with the biggest smile and go "onee chan arigatou~~" while her kind of worried mother bids her to escape
like no, they should both be shitting themselves
From all your comments on anime, you may really like Black Lagoon
The fights are real, the women are real... as in an example of AWALT
and it is very good story. Involves a lot of the seedy underside.
Never heard of Black Lagoon, what is it about?
Ill put it on my list builder
Japanese mid executive gets sent out to deliver a package.
But, he is supposed to die, instead the group, on a PT boat,
@BuilderOfCastles thanks i'll write it down
work out a better deal.
It is a story of that guy learning what it is like to be in the seedy underworld where people pay and are paid to kill, smuggle
it reminds me of noir
