They are currently developing circuit boards for ECM and pulsed EDM machines.

2018-07-29 15:40:31 UTC

As well as guns that require fewer and fewer purchased metal parts.

2018-07-29 15:40:39 UTC

And home rifling techniques.

2018-07-29 15:46:05 UTC

Did you guys ever hear about the 3d printer guns?

2018-07-29 15:53:14 UTC

I've been a fosscader for years.

2018-07-29 15:53:28 UTC

I was the guy who nagged FP into doing the Fruity Ghost.

2018-07-29 15:57:31 UTC

I too would like more guns

2018-07-29 15:58:07 UTC

I haven't been following it too closely, but I'm happy about the legal win

2018-07-29 15:58:47 UTC

Same

2018-07-29 15:58:49 UTC

That was defcad, not fosscad.

2018-07-29 15:59:02 UTC

Fosscad NEVER stopped releasing stuff.

2018-07-29 15:59:38 UTC

OH

2018-07-29 15:59:52 UTC

Yeah I know what you're talking about now

2018-07-29 16:00:03 UTC

Heard of the Shuty?

2018-07-29 16:00:11 UTC

I have not

2018-07-29 16:00:27 UTC

I'm pretty out of the loop these last 6 months

2018-07-29 16:00:50 UTC

It progressed to the gluty.

2018-07-29 16:01:32 UTC

Started out like this.

2018-07-29 16:04:48 UTC

Then we got another version of the shuty:

2018-07-29 16:05:34 UTC

Then we got the gluty.

2018-07-29 16:06:45 UTC

Then we got the smaller version:

2018-07-29 16:07:27 UTC

@Seatoast, @Dinosorcerer, More compact.

2018-07-29 16:08:12 UTC

It is quite cool

2018-07-29 16:09:44 UTC

Complete build:

2018-07-29 16:12:17 UTC

@Seatoast, @Dinosorcerer, you guys familiar with how 3D printing high-temp polmers requires a huge, heavy water cooled hotend, and how this reeks havok on the speed of your printer?

2018-07-29 16:13:13 UTC

Nah, I love the legal freedom of them but I wouldnt typically use them

2018-07-29 16:13:14 UTC

(You have to move something heavy.)

2018-07-29 16:13:31 UTC

I shoot alot and they really dont fit the bill for me

2018-07-29 16:14:32 UTC

@Seatoast, a crazy old man who frequents fosscad invented an absurdly compact water cooled hotend that is tinier and lighter than the normal ones.

2018-07-29 16:14:57 UTC

They are paving the way for us

2018-07-29 16:15:08 UTC

If it ever cam to it we will thank them later

2018-07-29 16:15:09 UTC

He teamed up with an engineer and now fosscaders can buy actual PEEK capable printers for cheap.

2018-07-29 16:15:19 UTC

Nice

2018-07-29 16:15:33 UTC

I should get one for the habbening

2018-07-29 16:15:42 UTC

(PEEK is the hardest plastic to extrude and melt.)
