oh I know
the benefits of having foreign states make your shit
@Grump The Horrible Intel is a US company that has foundries in the US.
(As well as abroad.)
i forget wasn't there something like this where China was making hardware and firmware with hidden spyware?
yeah Intel is here in AZ
This just seems to be a hilarious flaw more than a deliberate back door.
it might have been a few years back
yeah I don't know I have only been doing IT work since this fall
when I started college
@Grump The Horrible Getting the memory map with no privileges is absolutely awful, don't get me wrong. But being able to pull off these attacks FROM INSIDE OF A FUCKING VM is truly the icing on the shit sundae.
I took Comp TIA's Net+ exam that's the only cert I have and I working on Security+ atm
yeah
I have this idea of the "AM Card", the actual machine card, which is just a card that is full-fledged computer.
like a Rasberry Pi in card form?
only mo'better
Or maybe a bit bigger.
Yup.
@Grump The Horrible One think I'd like to do is find the most ridiculously powerful CPUs and other chips that you can get in DIP and make a console out of them that looks old and has a very old-timey looking board.
(Obviously they're not going to be 5 ghz or shit like that due to heat dissipation.)
One of the most ridiculous chips to come in DIP i've seen is the Parralax Propeller.
looks neat
I want an MP5 clone (even tho it's silly)
getting a select fire trigger group
expensive
P90 would be neat
@Grump The Horrible Damn, a transferable one would cost an arm and a leg.
looking $20K roughly + $200 tax stamp
I already have 1 NFA item
fucking hell
Are you just fucking made of money? Lots of people don't even make that in a year.
MP5's would cost 5K if it wasn't for the 1986 machine gun ban
no
I want one
an MP5 "clone" would be a semi-auto
Yeah, me too, but damn is that a lot of money.
Ah.
those are about $1000
roughly
