Are we the bad guys?
(((world police)))
Proof they don't care about your kids, only about their social justice policies and funding.
aren't teachers one of the only public employees that are unionized?
Yep. Which was a dumbass idea allowing them to do that.
also if they believe in the power of public education why are they worried that people will swap to charters? <a:ThinkSpin:482694373080039439> it's almost like there are issues with public education or somehting
Cause now, Teachers don't have any merit base system for performance. They just can keep a cushy job, and suck at teaching without any consequences.
I went to a private school for part of my education since my mom teaches there and we got dank discount
and the difference is huge
if you don't want people to dodge public school
make it not trash
My thoughts exactly.
I've got a chance to experience both worlds myself, and yes theres a 180 degree difference.
Although, some areas in the united states public education is actually pretty fucking good.
yeah the computer and robo lab at the private school I went too is like 90% of the reason I got into computer science
Its always the crowded areas that are shit.
I was about to talk about the public school system in my area
that got a lot better recently
but might dox myself
Demand for teachers in crowded schools always ends up them hiring just absolute shit teachers.
but they receently added a new like "advanced center" thing (name changed)
where no matter what public high school in the area you went to you could take classes at, so they could offer more niche classes since they could get enough students to justify it
and its a really good idea
Yeah I love that idea for high schools tbh. Just do a hybrid of general education and a choice of trade school for the student.
so they had enough students to offer auto repair courses
and networking
and way more AP classes
sadly
because of politics
its in the worst part of town
If they want to get into sports or whatever, fine. They can do the sports, but they gotta learn things like strategy, fitness and nutrition.
