could be coincidence, but the engravings bear a lot in common with ancient symbols and proto writing, esp in china

not sure the idol officially qualifies as proto writing but i dont think the speculation is without justification

Kinda weird that the oldest in that list is the Nanzhuangtou who were located in Hebei as early as 8500BC. Hebei reminds me of that demonic "god" that may be represented in this photo
