the reason I bring it up here, is I think this spineless Baizuo mentality was initially spawned by allowing women to vote and having a more compassionate voice in western politics. Women seem to value short term compassion to get some pats on the back over the long term greater good of the society. I think this term offers a great perspective from the outside looking in

and I got in an argument with a family friend the other day where they asked me point blank "do you think women should have the right to vote" and the more I thought about, as far as the greater good of western society goes, no I don't. But I'm conflicted because I think in the short term my female friends at least think they're benefiting from it, and they're still my friends and I want them to be happy. Anyways, what's your guys' thoughts on how far back this goes? Was giving them the vote the first mistake?

Depending on who you ask it goes to different areas. Removing the female/irresponsible vote is a popular carryover from TFM's channel. And while it was indeed a mistake it is pushed there because without it there can be no fixing the larger social problems.
If you watch Colttaine's video 'Suffrage and Enfranchisement' he argues that women never really needed the vote to get what they wanted (see Tender Years Doctrine) and giving them the vote only sped up the process.
And in the short term your female friends are benefitting from it, today, and tomorrow they can accuse a guy who wrongs them. If they get knocked up they have absolute control over what happens. They get damn near everything and more.
The fallout of female voting habits 100 years after they got the vote is still building up they get more good than bad right now.
On the subject overall the mistake may have been men letting their biology or some similar short sighted goal get the better of longer held wisdom. Women were not built to be treated as men's equal if only because they are incapable of bearing his equal responsiblity.
