And I am speaking from experience, I have known a few guys in the field

@Gabri yeah just ask them what equipment they use act like you know what your doing then look up tutorials on the system

Not finishing school yet? Great you got even more time to network. Start now! Build a portfolio, start working.
No friends... that is literally what the clubs are for. Go there, buy a beer for the guys and start asking to talk shop.
Work on those skills that you will be hired for. Start practicing and learning. If you can't do shit you better have just started this semester. In which case you better be learning.
