Go to a club, do for a band

2019-01-11 20:39:43 UTC

Stupid shit like that. Again I know people I'm the field

2019-01-11 20:39:47 UTC

That's how they got in

2019-01-11 20:40:11 UTC

Speak to the backstage guys at concerts and ask to help out

2019-01-11 20:40:19 UTC

Show you know how to rig the tech

2019-01-11 20:40:25 UTC

They will give you a chance

2019-01-11 20:40:40 UTC

What Crappy is saying.. is intern it up.

2019-01-11 20:41:31 UTC

Better yet, call a company that does it and ask if your degree would get you a job with no experience

2019-01-11 20:41:52 UTC

^^

2019-01-11 20:41:56 UTC

And pretty much @Kragt but you have an advantage cause being a gofer sucks

2019-01-11 20:42:09 UTC

So offer to do it and ask to do more

2019-01-11 20:42:19 UTC

Chat to the tech on the board

2019-01-11 20:42:52 UTC

I pointed him to the TFM vid about that, but I know he hasn't had time yet.
But you start at the job you want and work backwards from the requirements.
You dont start at the degree and ask what can I do with this? You start at the job and say what do I need to do to get this?

2019-01-11 20:42:57 UTC

Shit like that is your way. A degree is great but in this case it's the cherry, not the ice-cream

2019-01-11 20:43:24 UTC

Pretty much, though it depends on the kind of field

2019-01-11 20:43:26 UTC

@Kragt I wish someone had told me that at 20

2019-01-11 20:43:45 UTC

I agree, better yet I wish I'd gotten the slap at 16

2019-01-11 20:43:51 UTC

@Reaper Same. I didn't hear it till last year when TFM said it. XD

2019-01-11 20:44:01 UTC

well when I heard him say it.

2019-01-11 20:44:12 UTC

Ok start there.

2019-01-11 20:44:16 UTC

Then take my advice to the T mate

2019-01-11 20:44:28 UTC

Look at job postings, ask people who do it right now. See what you need to do to get to their job.

2019-01-11 20:44:36 UTC

Plus if you mix you will learn way fucking faster. Also bands tend to bring their guy with them, be their guy

2019-01-11 20:44:44 UTC

@Kragt I heard that as well I figured it out a few years before that but I had already wasted lots of moola on school I didn't need

2019-01-11 20:45:40 UTC

@Reaper Yikes... Thankfully my career choice works with the schooling I got, but man it was a rough ride.

2019-01-11 20:46:27 UTC

@Kragt yea I'm in a totally different field now but I'm finally out of debt so it could be worse

2019-01-11 20:46:52 UTC

@Reaper Good on you for that bit. Debt is a bitch and a half.

2019-01-11 20:47:03 UTC

Seriously

2019-01-11 20:48:05 UTC

@Kragt luckily I never intended on getting Married cause no doubt wifey would not have been down with me switching careers

2019-01-11 20:48:29 UTC

debt takes a hold on you, until you realise the traps

2019-01-11 20:48:31 UTC

Ah... the edit helped a bit.

2019-01-11 20:48:49 UTC

Lol sorry

2019-01-11 20:48:54 UTC

Fucking mobile

2019-01-11 20:49:39 UTC

S'all good. And yeah. Women want you to make more money first, and maybe have more status as a second. Your needs are nowhere on that list. XD

2019-01-11 20:50:41 UTC

i quit multiple jobs with my ex and told her mother "I aint no slave".

2019-01-11 20:50:54 UTC

Badass.

2019-01-11 20:50:59 UTC

How did she respond?

2019-01-11 20:50:59 UTC

@Kragt lol yea like if I came home and told her I hated my career she would be like, you just need to try to get that promotion, then you'll feel better, all while i just died inside working there

2019-01-11 20:51:40 UTC

the family always tries to push you towards that which you dont want to do. When youre young you hav e a gut feeling when what youre doing isnt right

2019-01-11 20:51:45 UTC

@Gabri no matter what they say, that's what it translates to

2019-01-11 20:54:35 UTC

I would not be surprised I suspect many woman are dabbling in the dark arts
