I don't have this problem with older people as a rule
@Sigma clear understanding of a subject also requires clear understanding of how people may react to the subject, in order to adapt the subject to their needs. It's mainly experience of talking about the subject lol
Elaborate?
There we go. That's true
Single mothers do contribute to the problem a little, and the education system plays a massive role in the lack of original articulation of thought to one another. I blame the grading system without any meaningful feedback. Just a fucking certificate at the end. Well done.
its just a feedback loop
Yeah
Edu isn't even understanding
People just **do** things
People are taught how to "not think" about anything. They are also taught that this process is called "thinking". It takes a long time to break away from that
Where is the why behind my thoughts put into answers? What is their life experience and why should I trust their grade of me? Also valid questions.
You think you'd understand why algebraic equations are so and so but nope "because that's how it is" REEEEEE
I once got into an argument with someone and they then began to argue that we were making the same argument, when he couldn't be more wrong. He merely wanted the argument to be over and for everyone to be friends. I respect people more who can finish something or at least say they don't want to talk about it anymore
Ask too much and the system will make you feel inadequate
Cause no one wants you to think
For yourself
@Yowilkat damn
I judged the system long before they started shaming me for thinking. That rendered their efforts ineffective because I knew that they were the deficient ones, not me
These are all problems I've had with the education system
They don't want you to do more than what they deem is necessary, because it sheds the limelight on their lack of empathy.
After school, I got into reading and I've learned how bad I've been fucked in the head by the way things are with education. That caused me some anger
If you begin to understand things, you will undermine the system. They want you emotive and non logical
I don't think I fucking changed my perspective on life once I got to know that y=mx+c
They don't teach critical thinking and basic life skills, they expect your parents to do all of that
These days, what parents?
algebra is just thought processes on paper in its simplest terms.
**my parents are part of the system**
Knowing how to learn. School wants you to memorize and regurgitate.
Sorry, i mean Grandparents, this is 2019 after all...
Everyone is part of the system to an extent
People make their life to surround and support the system to the point that they think its normal to think in a certain way
Some think outside the box though
and realize there's more to life than supporting it
People seem shocked when you seem to "know" all the answers. It's simply memorisation. It shocks them even more when you start questioning why it is the why it is, and offering improved systems for use.
Ikr?
way^
I think slow steady change in the way future generations learn will do it. They are making the wrong changes nowadays
Those systems are often discarded due to sheer lack of trying to understand. Then again, there is no extra reward but ridicule in todays world for those who add more than they should.
They need a certain type of school for people who tend to be more freethinking
People will go apeshit if everything changed overnight
