I don't have this problem with older people as a rule

2019-01-16 23:15:33 UTC

@Sigma clear understanding of a subject also requires clear understanding of how people may react to the subject, in order to adapt the subject to their needs. It's mainly experience of talking about the subject lol

2019-01-16 23:15:34 UTC

Elaborate?

2019-01-16 23:16:12 UTC

There we go. That's true

2019-01-16 23:17:31 UTC

Single mothers do contribute to the problem a little, and the education system plays a massive role in the lack of original articulation of thought to one another. I blame the grading system without any meaningful feedback. Just a fucking certificate at the end. Well done.

2019-01-16 23:17:56 UTC

its just a feedback loop

2019-01-16 23:18:01 UTC

Yeah

2019-01-16 23:18:10 UTC

Edu isn't even understanding

2019-01-16 23:18:24 UTC

People just **do** things

2019-01-16 23:18:43 UTC

People are taught how to "not think" about anything. They are also taught that this process is called "thinking". It takes a long time to break away from that

2019-01-16 23:19:03 UTC

Where is the why behind my thoughts put into answers? What is their life experience and why should I trust their grade of me? Also valid questions.

2019-01-16 23:19:10 UTC

You think you'd understand why algebraic equations are so and so but nope "because that's how it is" REEEEEE

2019-01-16 23:19:40 UTC

I once got into an argument with someone and they then began to argue that we were making the same argument, when he couldn't be more wrong. He merely wanted the argument to be over and for everyone to be friends. I respect people more who can finish something or at least say they don't want to talk about it anymore

2019-01-16 23:19:48 UTC

Ask too much and the system will make you feel inadequate

2019-01-16 23:19:59 UTC

Cause no one wants you to think

2019-01-16 23:20:04 UTC

For yourself

2019-01-16 23:20:29 UTC
2019-01-16 23:20:33 UTC

I judged the system long before they started shaming me for thinking. That rendered their efforts ineffective because I knew that they were the deficient ones, not me

2019-01-16 23:20:42 UTC

These are all problems I've had with the education system

2019-01-16 23:20:43 UTC

They don't want you to do more than what they deem is necessary, because it sheds the limelight on their lack of empathy.

2019-01-16 23:21:00 UTC

Arguably the system is useless in making you understand things

2019-01-16 23:21:15 UTC

After school, I got into reading and I've learned how bad I've been fucked in the head by the way things are with education. That caused me some anger

2019-01-16 23:21:24 UTC

If you begin to understand things, you will undermine the system. They want you emotive and non logical

2019-01-16 23:21:24 UTC

I don't think I fucking changed my perspective on life once I got to know that y=mx+c

2019-01-16 23:21:38 UTC

They don't teach critical thinking and basic life skills, they expect your parents to do all of that

2019-01-16 23:21:54 UTC

These days, what parents?

2019-01-16 23:22:02 UTC

algebra is just thought processes on paper in its simplest terms.

2019-01-16 23:22:18 UTC

**my parents are part of the system**

2019-01-16 23:22:18 UTC

Knowing how to learn. School wants you to memorize and regurgitate.

2019-01-16 23:22:31 UTC

Sorry, i mean Grandparents, this is 2019 after all...

2019-01-16 23:22:57 UTC

Everyone is part of the system to an extent

2019-01-16 23:23:16 UTC

People make their life to surround and support the system to the point that they think its normal to think in a certain way

2019-01-16 23:23:16 UTC

Some think outside the box though

2019-01-16 23:23:31 UTC

and realize there's more to life than supporting it

2019-01-16 23:23:37 UTC

People seem shocked when you seem to "know" all the answers. It's simply memorisation. It shocks them even more when you start questioning why it is the why it is, and offering improved systems for use.

2019-01-16 23:23:47 UTC

Ikr?

2019-01-16 23:23:49 UTC

way^

2019-01-16 23:24:38 UTC

I think slow steady change in the way future generations learn will do it. They are making the wrong changes nowadays

2019-01-16 23:24:39 UTC

Those systems are often discarded due to sheer lack of trying to understand. Then again, there is no extra reward but ridicule in todays world for those who add more than they should.

2019-01-16 23:24:58 UTC

They need a certain type of school for people who tend to be more freethinking

2019-01-16 23:25:18 UTC

People will go apeshit if everything changed overnight
