Bit rate

2017-06-11 01:33:12 UTC

i want to do reasonably high quality recording

2017-06-11 01:33:17 UTC

i am basically just going to read poetry

2017-06-11 01:33:20 UTC

Its like resolution, but for audio

2017-06-11 01:33:25 UTC

ooooh neat

2017-06-11 01:33:27 UTC

i am not okay with 64kbit

2017-06-11 01:33:31 UTC

this isnt mere shitposting

2017-06-11 01:33:32 UTC

2017-06-11 01:33:42 UTC

2017-06-11 01:34:02 UTC

>implying 88minutes is mere shitposting.
THIS HOUR HAS 88 MINUTES IS ART

2017-06-11 01:34:11 UTC

sure

2017-06-11 01:34:13 UTC

but it is talk radio

2017-06-11 01:34:16 UTC

people arent listening to it closely

2017-06-11 01:34:22 UTC

good point

2017-06-11 01:34:28 UTC

deep scrutinizing the sound quality

2017-06-11 01:34:33 UTC

its what you are saying, not how you are saying it

2017-06-11 01:34:37 UTC

reading poetry is a diff thing

2017-06-11 01:34:50 UTC

>implying people listen to 88 minutes

2017-06-11 01:34:51 UTC

I'm excited to hear it btw

2017-06-11 01:34:52 UTC

my work product is going to be things like

2017-06-11 01:34:59 UTC

literally tons of them are only going to be a minute long.

2017-06-11 01:35:05 UTC

@Caerulus_Rex lolll rekt

2017-06-11 01:35:12 UTC

slug2 will never recover

2017-06-11 01:35:15 UTC

hey, I've come to accept it

2017-06-11 01:35:23 UTC

I literally have 7 listeners

2017-06-11 01:35:32 UTC

what about the difference between the yet and the raspberry

2017-06-11 01:35:49 UTC

Im not familiar with the rasperry

2017-06-11 01:35:58 UTC

its the high end

2017-06-11 01:35:59 UTC

above the yeti

2017-06-11 01:36:56 UTC

here after import tariffs and shipping a yeti will cost about $190, and the raspberry about $285

2017-06-11 01:37:23 UTC

What % are Americans?

2017-06-11 01:37:25 UTC

@SLUG2_ are you serious about the 7 listeners thing?

2017-06-11 01:37:28 UTC

i assumed it was way more

2017-06-11 01:37:31 UTC

yeah dude

2017-06-11 01:37:32 UTC

totally

2017-06-11 01:37:36 UTC

bs

2017-06-11 01:37:49 UTC

Im limited by the bit rate of VOIP apps, so there isnt a reason for me to go higher than a yeti. Since you are recording local, and the pieces are short, an even higher quality mic would be of use
