I don't really know what I'm talking about.

2019-01-24 18:43:12 UTC

Just the highest level concepts of telling the computer to do the thing.

2019-01-24 18:43:42 UTC

One of the best RPGs was made with python

2019-01-24 18:43:47 UTC

"Just a scripting language"

2019-01-24 18:43:53 UTC

But alas, the language of the gods

2019-01-24 18:44:00 UTC

Which one?

2019-01-24 18:44:03 UTC

which rpg

2019-01-24 18:44:12 UTC

What RPG?

2019-01-24 18:44:23 UTC

ah yes, it doesn't exist

2019-01-24 18:44:37 UTC

holy fuck my mic has a lot of gain

2019-01-24 18:44:38 UTC

2019-01-24 18:45:06 UTC

wait a minute I think the gain knob is maxed...

2019-01-24 18:45:25 UTC

nvm

2019-01-24 18:45:26 UTC

not maxed

2019-01-24 18:45:30 UTC

Bambi stir fry received good reviews.

2019-01-24 18:47:56 UTC

All my programmer friends HATE java

2019-01-24 18:47:59 UTC

HATE

2019-01-24 18:48:17 UTC

Cos u gotta explicitly type everything

2019-01-24 18:48:29 UTC

It’s higher level than c family tho

2019-01-24 18:48:45 UTC

Python is perfect for small scrips because it’s dynamically types

2019-01-24 18:48:47 UTC

Typed*

2019-01-24 18:49:27 UTC

Quickly change shit basically

2019-01-24 18:49:29 UTC

A good documentary to watch?

2019-01-24 18:49:40 UTC

Cowboy bebop

2019-01-24 18:50:01 UTC

Of course

2019-01-24 18:50:14 UTC

I hate java aswell, but I work with it 😄

2019-01-24 18:51:31 UTC

I am not a fan of Java.

2019-01-24 18:51:38 UTC

It's too bitter.

2019-01-24 18:53:27 UTC

@Xychotic vampire the masquerade bloodlines

2019-01-24 18:53:35 UTC

best writing and voice acting ever

2019-01-24 18:56:43 UTC

On the whole- java is still a great language . But python has so many cool libraries that people think python is the better language. But at its core , without libraries, IMO java is better if you want to actually get good at programming because you need to know what’s going on, most of the time, to create ‘good code’ - in python you have thick af handle bars

2019-01-24 18:57:20 UTC

Helps u out so much with the stuff under the bonnet

2019-01-24 19:02:19 UTC

I like having the training wheels.

2019-01-24 19:02:58 UTC

But that's because I'm totally unfamiliar with anything beyond "Hello world"

2019-01-24 19:03:07 UTC

OoF

2019-01-24 19:10:14 UTC

Yeah - python is probably the most fun language

2019-01-24 19:10:24 UTC

But I can understand why the majority of unis teach in java

2019-01-24 19:10:55 UTC

Because at the end of the day knowing languages doesn’t make you good at programming - being a good problem solver is the desirable trait

2019-01-24 19:11:04 UTC

Learning a language is quick af in comparison

2019-01-24 19:11:43 UTC

Because java is not that hard to comprehend basic stuff, but still gives some space for thinking

2019-01-24 19:11:53 UTC

Xy and bat would u like to join our newly formed PGTOW server (programmers going their own way) - it’s where anyone can learn from the community and we can make group projects
