Love this movie and total recoll

2018-08-22 21:48:33 UTC

They show the future basicly

2018-08-22 21:49:17 UTC

they both look very cool. but we must remember that the futures thought of by people are the futures that never exist...

2018-08-22 21:49:30 UTC

they are always predictions made on not enough information

2018-08-22 21:49:48 UTC

No if you can imagine it you can creat it

2018-08-22 21:50:01 UTC

What would we need in terms of skills?

2018-08-22 21:51:43 UTC

Programming. Body mechanics / sports medicine. Material science for plastics and rubber, light metals. 3D model animators.

2018-08-22 21:52:08 UTC

Manufacturing engineers for the design of the manufacturing process. What else?

2018-08-22 21:52:17 UTC

Electrical... obviously.

2018-08-22 21:52:41 UTC

A processor that simulates the human brain enough to simulate our ability for fine motor movements.

2018-08-22 21:53:12 UTC

We may need something like a quantum computer for that lol

2018-08-22 21:53:13 UTC

We could make an exhaustive list of the skills required... than we can start head hunting for interested parties. I would be down... long term investment.

2018-08-22 21:53:25 UTC

No... not even close.

2018-08-22 21:53:33 UTC

We have the tech now.

2018-08-22 21:53:44 UTC

4 Titan voltas are more than enough.

2018-08-22 21:53:45 UTC

I would be down as well, but I think that companies in China are already trying that.

2018-08-22 21:53:50 UTC

So?

2018-08-22 21:54:45 UTC

Someone is already doing that... so fuck it. Let's not do anythign that has ever been done before. That's not going to get anyone anywhere. What happened to "we can do it better, faster and cheaper than anyone on earth" ?

2018-08-22 21:55:39 UTC

I just don't want to reinvent the wheel if someone else is already working on it with better access to resources than we do lol. We may be better off just going to work for a company that already is researching and has better accessibility to what we want than starting from scratch all over again.

2018-08-22 21:56:07 UTC

WMDolls in China and Real Doll are working on it.

2018-08-22 21:57:02 UTC

Ok... so we break down the skills needed. Then we look at the progress made and see what we can take from others as a boost forward,.

2018-08-22 21:57:20 UTC

That sounds like a pretty good plan.

2018-08-22 21:57:23 UTC

I'm not trying to convince you to do it.

2018-08-22 21:58:09 UTC

But then again... those companies are probably already doing that lol

2018-08-22 21:58:16 UTC

I can't be asked to drag people kicking screaming across any kind of finish line in life. I'm just puttin it out there. I am a soldier without a cause and I'm willing to back android development with my time money blood sweat and tears. That's all.

2018-08-22 21:59:39 UTC

I don't have time for excuses, particularly for shit I'm not even engaged in doing currently. If it doesn't push the idea forward and bring it closer to realization... I can't be listening to that shit.

2018-08-22 22:01:39 UTC

I don't care if anyone thinks it cannot be done. It can. I don't care if someone else is doing it, I'm confident that with competent people I could see to it that we do it better than anyone else with far less money and time invested. Anything less is abject failure and that can not be tolerated.

2018-08-22 22:02:29 UTC

If not today... one day maybe. But I do want to get in on that shit and it's never to early to start compiling data and making a plan. That requires very little investment and time... no money. No sweat.

2018-08-22 22:04:33 UTC

The first successful android manufacturer with general artifical intelligence will be the first trillionaire. We will see that in our life times.

2018-08-22 22:05:32 UTC

The Titan Voltas idea was interesting. Each of those graphics cards contains about 21 billion transistors and its estimated the human brain has about 100 billion neurons. Ergo, about 4 titan voltas could simulate 100 billion neurons, if we consider each transistor to be somewhat like a neuron.

2018-08-22 22:06:02 UTC

Each one is 120 Tflops of machine learning capability.

2018-08-22 22:06:08 UTC

nice

2018-08-22 22:06:24 UTC

So half an fucking exo-flop.

2018-08-22 22:06:59 UTC

That is more than enough to do imagine recogniition in real time across millions if not billions of objects.

2018-08-22 22:08:16 UTC

Run a 3d model, like a video game environment... scan in object have the machine simulate by running the sim in it's "inner game" ... give it an imagination. You can teach it fast.... fast fast fast.

2018-08-22 22:08:18 UTC

Nice. Then we have to do enough plastics research combined with cpu/gpu cooling in order to somehow create a plastic that can compliment a cool enough environment to prevent overheating of the cpu/gpu

2018-08-22 22:08:31 UTC

Once the platform is developed it can learn new tasks in real time.

2018-08-22 22:09:00 UTC

Or distrobute the heat to the skin... for realism.

2018-08-22 22:09:09 UTC

Then we can have it operate one something like an IoT algorithm and have it be able to predict your needs
