Shaunuss I understand your hatred. I am not over the period in my life where I had to work for others in a feminized BS environment
I'm lucky in that my work environment is a masculine environment
and when I say feminizes I'm talking about the men.
engineering, we're all a bunch of men and we swear and talk shit
my boss rides motorbikes etc, so at least that side of it doesn't suck
Thank goodness, I was dealing with guys who cried about dry skin and got a moisturizer and group bought fragrances to see which was best.
It's good as far as jobs go, but it's still a job
what the hell, hahahah I'd be laughing at that
I daresay I probably wouldn't fare well working in the USA because I take the mickey out of men who moisturise etc
Shaunuss never be ashamed of being who and what you are. My work environment is why I can't be a good caller to Hermit
Once I go into that I get incoherent and just want to fight
I'm 36, so I'm fairly well established in who I am
I'm 36 too actually
I've had a lifetime of people trying to change me
these days it's "get fucked"
And i've had that too, I have some advantages, we could talk about it but I don't want to type it
haha it took a lot of patience not to tell that prophit dude to shut up in the roundtable on sunday
I didn't see it, what times have the roundtables been lately?
For me I stumbled across it at about 8pm NZ time
UTC +12 for me
I really need to leran this EST stuff
I'm usually asleep then
where are you based?
which is why I don't show up more
I live near Wash DC in USA
nice, I was in DC in 2016
I wanted to see the centre of the empire
Let's say my commute is 8 minutes door to door.
I don't live in DC
And at this point, I telecommute 80% of the time
I stayed at an airBNB north of silver spring
what is your job?
Crappy part of town, nothing good there
I barely work anymore I started my company to overcome a crap vendor and profited hugely
congrats dude you clocked it
Basically I was the in demand tech and said "f your payscale" and got nice contracts with my clients
I'm thinking of going freelance in what I do, because I can make $150/hr
might drop a day of work and take up a day of freelance
Be careful, the company is a nice shield. Make sure you have at least a living wage lined up before you do it. Insurance is expensive, the business license wasn't so bad
And I'll say this, I was a one man operation, I paid so much taxes it was out of this world. I took in half a million and barely past six figures in personal income by the time it was all done. This is why I learned investments.
