I feel that

2018-11-19 05:27:14 UTC

introvert

Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. It's basically changing your base thoughts

2018-11-19 05:27:52 UTC

Like someone who is suicidal, their base thought is "if I'm dead, I don't have to worry about my problems"

2018-11-19 05:28:08 UTC

I do have a lot of negative recursive thinking going on when I'm in a rut. I've been taken care of it by just fapping it away. Though now that the faps aren't as effective, I'm forced to face the music lol

2018-11-19 05:28:19 UTC

Shoulda faced it when I was in late teens/early twenties.

2018-11-19 05:29:47 UTC

@Mab Asakura I feel for you brother I was never really completely an introvert but I think I may have had a bit of social anxiety in certain situations, it is a problem so many suffer from and as men truly nobody gives a fuck

2018-11-19 05:30:00 UTC

@ToastMcGhost Wow I never knew that was a thing. Will definitely look into those. Thanks for showing me options my dude.

2018-11-19 05:30:31 UTC

I'm glad to help. I wanted to start my own mental health YT channel at some point

2018-11-19 05:30:52 UTC

@Reaper Nobody gives a fuck is right. Like, if I pipe up about my issues, It either gets brushed aside as weakness or blown out of proportion for no reason. People really don't know how to react with moderation.

2018-11-19 05:31:37 UTC

Men are more likey to go undaignosed/not seek help due to stigmas

2018-11-19 05:31:56 UTC

We're also... like 80 something percent of suicides?

2018-11-19 05:32:25 UTC

@Mab Asakura it's actually pretty disgusting that in a society where men are constantly under mental attack our mental health is also put on low to no priority

2018-11-19 05:32:33 UTC

Btw I didn't mean to divert the attention away from @GingerSnaps problem.

2018-11-19 05:32:57 UTC

Look at the gynocentric world we live in. It takes a lot of mental fortitude and character to not be depressed at least a little bit if you ask me.

2018-11-19 05:33:00 UTC

Just that you lot are really fun to talk to so I kinda went with it.

2018-11-19 05:33:04 UTC

I don't think it's that men don't reach out, reaching out doesn't seem to help.

2018-11-19 05:33:10 UTC
2018-11-19 05:33:36 UTC
2018-11-19 05:33:54 UTC

Yeah i'm with cold on that one

2018-11-19 05:34:15 UTC

Reaching out will likely just get u shamed and mis-diagnosed

2018-11-19 05:34:27 UTC

I mean this whole open up crap doesn't help, like for men things need to be pragmatic and solution oriented instead of a feeling based approach to things.

2018-11-19 05:34:53 UTC

From what I've heard all these healthcare professionals slap people with some prescriptions meds and are done with it.

2018-11-19 05:35:01 UTC

When we don't fully understand how they work.

2018-11-19 05:35:18 UTC

@ColdEmbraceOfDeath Easy fix. Presscribe more opioids and keep that big pharma wheel a-turning.

2018-11-19 05:35:39 UTC

In relation to this, I'd suggest watching Wandering Wojak's video recently on this subject.

2018-11-19 05:35:41 UTC

@ColdEmbraceOfDeath exactly pills can only regulate feelings they can never fix a problem... a total female oriented solution

2018-11-19 05:35:56 UTC

THey throw a label on you and then shove meds down your throat and if you question what your taking or don't ffollow doctors orders to the t like taking yourself off something that isn't working for you you get shunned and ridiculed.

2018-11-19 05:36:00 UTC

Cure the disease? Nah, let's treat it indefinitely for MAXIMUM MONIESSSSSSSS

2018-11-19 05:36:01 UTC

It addresses the problem of loneliness amongst men.

2018-11-19 05:36:42 UTC

I've heard this on a few MGTOW videos, but men don't have to hunt and gather or create fire anymore so we're not fully "serving our purpose" I guess you can say

2018-11-19 05:37:17 UTC

And most of those meds are only meant to keep you at a higher state of functioning but still dysfunctional enough to need treatment so that it's recurring business. Most healthcare professionals are not in the business of curing people, that would mean less money and job security for them.

2018-11-19 05:38:02 UTC

Situation is fairly bleak when it comes to health care.

2018-11-19 05:38:05 UTC

@GingerSnaps exactly it's about zombification and getting back to your job in the production line, not fixing uou

2018-11-19 05:38:09 UTC

You*

2018-11-19 05:38:17 UTC

That's sort of what SSRIs do.

2018-11-19 05:38:43 UTC

I know of this guy who has BPD, he's been prescribed those and he feels like a zombie when he's on it.

2018-11-19 05:39:31 UTC

at least it's doing something for him. THey're clinically proven to be only as effective as a placebo.

2018-11-19 05:39:46 UTC

Oh? Do you have an article for that?

2018-11-19 05:39:54 UTC

I mean he says so, not sure if it really is like that.

2018-11-19 05:40:05 UTC

Not off the top of my head.
