I am trying to binge watch all TV for the last month I have left living here and The Last Kingdom seemed good but in Season 2 it was all about taxing the entire Wessex nation to pay for the princess's ransom. That ransom would then be used to form an army against Wessex so then all men would be drafted to die... history is so gynocentric. I know it's a show but I GUARANTEE it's real life.
