what was it like

she's got dinner rn, so i'll give you a basic explanation

her parents thought that her being transgender was going to make her a laughing stock, and so they would deadname her a ton, and actively discouraged her from presenting as female in public

but with time, especially once they found out i was trans too, they became more calm and supportive towards her

it took a fair bit of time though, and it was very painful to watch, because she hadn't exactly chosen to come out at first

kids spread rumours about it around her school and her parents got dragged into a meeting about it

it was shitty
