there was this point early on in gab's lifespan

where like

torba wanted to distance himself from being nazi twitter

so he started pretending fedposters were bots designed to take down the website

and people were really mad about it

I am a fan of what Torba's trying to do, but he's kind of a pussy.

and at the height of this controversy

he implemented this thing called groups

which were basically hugboxes

and he was trying to like

artificially boost groops and make them "happen"

by participating in them

I liked the groups.

so he posted these really low effort boring pictures of bees

in the beekeeping group

There was a Guns of Gab group and a 3D printing group I was in.

and me and this other guy started posting

and it became a meme
