Yup. We have to wait another year before an election. But for sure the NDP will be gone. Jason Kenny and the UCP will form government and job no.1 for them is repealing it.
Kenny has promised that will be the first priority.
I thought the Carbon tax was provincial... but Trudeau made it federally... Am I understanding that correctly?

Yes it is provincial but any province that doesn't impose their own the feds will impose one.

LIke I said a lot of Albertans are angry. So many have lost their jobs who were working in the oil and gas industry....it's a mess

Businesses do pay........it's on their electricity, heating etc. Plus a lot small businesses have had to close.

Another thing that hurt us is the minimum wage. The government keeps raising the wage causing a lot of hardship on small business. Half of restaurants in Calgary owned by individuals have had to close.....many of them that had been in business for decades.
yeah same here in ontario. food prices have spiked and who can afford to pay a bunch of part time employees 15/hr. my first job i got paid 6.25/hr and i was happy to get it lol. minimum wage has more than doubled in less than 20 years. its just not sustainable
