what is your Right-Left scale?
is it the one that put Hitler on the right?
generally individualism versus collectivism
except when you throw in politics of a governing state
and then further complicated when you introduce economic factors and international relations
its nowhere near as simple as "see those people wanna tell you what to do, and the other people don't"
so tell me how an "individualist authoritarian" work?
that would generally involve a priviledged upper class, more often than not decided by familial ties or other such inherited status
aristocracy, dictatorship, and so on
the individuals in power over the masses
that doesn't sound individualist to me though.
not for the common citizenry, of course not
then it's a moot point, what the political system thinks of the common citizenry is the IMPORTANT part of it.
a political system doesn't have its own "thoughts", its not the fucking matrix
you could say that, but it works well enough for a conversation like this.
a conversation where one entire wing of the political spectrum is authoritarian and the other is just magically not
I never said the republicans weren't authoritarian, I think most of them given the chance would be fine with that.
you quite literally defined "the right" as being the wing of freedom in contrast to the left which isn't
'eh no.... republicans are authoritarian in another nature. Your bedroom/religion

Which is why I refuse to hold an allegiance to any party
same
They both want to tyrannize me in a different structure
until one arrives that actually espouses proper liberal values
I would say i didn't hold an allegiance to a single party, if there were any other real options, but that is its own thing entirely.
It would be nice to have a "Leave me the fuck alone and I'll leave you the fuck alone" party
totally agree with that.
America could do with a purple party, like UKIP
USIP
a party of national sovereignty
intranational perspective
again, I like the idea but we would need a big change in how votes are done, and I don't trust anyone who is in power right now to make a change that doesn't break things more then they already have.
intrranational concerns
yes, first-past-the-post needs to go
I agree, but again, I don't trust the people in power to make the change.
I guess maine changed to a new system last time around, and I don't know what version they got but form the little i have heard about it the politicans get to chose where the votes cast for them go if they don't win, and that's not really a good system.
but it could be something else, I didn't really look into it that much.
could just be that this state really is that blue, wouldn't surprise me honestly.
I think it was Ohio or somewhere that had a ballot measure to try ranked choice voting, but their state legislature had an "emergency session" and nullified the vote
Tulsi's IG livestreams are the best. Half of the people are saying how much they love her, and the other half call her a milf
