right, guess I'll come back when the people who want to have a serious conversation are on

2020-02-04 21:47:14 UTC

getting controll over the Mexico border isn't about keeping people of a given race out, it's about knowing who is in our country regurdless of race.

2020-02-04 21:47:57 UTC

well, give me an example of the "right" careing about race?
also please define the right other then "right of Sanders"

2020-02-04 21:48:56 UTC

okay, you first, dipshit, define left other than "the left" or "the communists"

2020-02-04 21:49:40 UTC

for myself my scale is about authorty, left wants full government control, right wants freedom, yes that means you COULD put anarchists as the far right on my scale.

2020-02-04 21:50:05 UTC

that is so fucking childishly naive

2020-02-04 21:50:11 UTC

how so?

2020-02-04 21:50:29 UTC

implying right wing authoritarianism just doesn't fucking exist

2020-02-04 21:50:43 UTC

what is your Right-Left scale?

2020-02-04 21:50:53 UTC

is it the one that put Hitler on the right?

2020-02-04 21:51:03 UTC

generally individualism versus collectivism

2020-02-04 21:51:15 UTC

except when you throw in politics of a governing state

2020-02-04 21:51:37 UTC

and then further complicated when you introduce economic factors and international relations

2020-02-04 21:51:54 UTC

its nowhere near as simple as "see those people wanna tell you what to do, and the other people don't"

2020-02-04 21:52:25 UTC

so tell me how an "individualist authoritarian" work?

2020-02-04 21:53:03 UTC

that would generally involve a priviledged upper class, more often than not decided by familial ties or other such inherited status

2020-02-04 21:53:15 UTC

aristocracy, dictatorship, and so on

2020-02-04 21:53:25 UTC

the individuals in power over the masses

2020-02-04 21:53:33 UTC

that doesn't sound individualist to me though.

2020-02-04 21:53:51 UTC

not for the common citizenry, of course not

2020-02-04 21:54:21 UTC

then it's a moot point, what the political system thinks of the common citizenry is the IMPORTANT part of it.

2020-02-04 21:54:55 UTC

a political system doesn't have its own "thoughts", its not the fucking matrix

2020-02-04 21:55:16 UTC

you could say that, but it works well enough for a conversation like this.

2020-02-04 21:55:40 UTC

a conversation where one entire wing of the political spectrum is authoritarian and the other is just magically not

2020-02-04 21:56:17 UTC

I never said the republicans weren't authoritarian, I think most of them given the chance would be fine with that.

2020-02-04 21:56:42 UTC

you quite literally defined "the right" as being the wing of freedom in contrast to the left which isn't

2020-02-04 21:56:42 UTC

'eh no.... republicans are authoritarian in another nature. Your bedroom/religion

2020-02-04 21:56:51 UTC

^

2020-02-04 21:57:02 UTC

the politicans i mean.

2020-02-04 21:57:04 UTC

Which is why I refuse to hold an allegiance to any party

2020-02-04 21:57:10 UTC

same

2020-02-04 21:57:18 UTC

They both want to tyrannize me in a different structure

2020-02-04 21:57:23 UTC

until one arrives that actually espouses proper liberal values

2020-02-04 21:57:43 UTC

I would say i didn't hold an allegiance to a single party, if there were any other real options, but that is its own thing entirely.

2020-02-04 21:58:02 UTC

It would be nice to have a "Leave me the fuck alone and I'll leave you the fuck alone" party

2020-02-04 21:58:11 UTC

totally agree with that.

2020-02-04 21:58:28 UTC

America could do with a purple party, like UKIP

2020-02-04 21:58:32 UTC

USIP

2020-02-04 21:58:54 UTC

a party of national sovereignty

2020-02-04 21:59:03 UTC

intranational perspective

2020-02-04 21:59:12 UTC

again, I like the idea but we would need a big change in how votes are done, and I don't trust anyone who is in power right now to make a change that doesn't break things more then they already have.
