An idea I had though was that if the earth's gravity was lower, like moon levels for example, or even mars, we could have had interstellar travel not that long ago. You see currently to take off to get out of orbit we need to travel over 11 km/s, which is actually extremely difficult to do, but the V-2 rocket say in WWII would have been capable of easily luanching off of the moon, in fact some chinese fireworks may have been able to do this. Hence, some really poorly advanced species but that say, evolved on one of Jupiter's moons or a moon like jupiter could end up colonizing space, and start off as a bunch of morons, so something like the orcs could spread

You'd think a really advanced society would be needed in order to go in to space, but if the gravity was just a little bit less it wouldn't neccessarily have had to be the case. Space nazis could really be a thing

Our problem is that like only 1-3% of the payload of a rocket can be sent in to space given the speed needed and the fact that chemical energy only provides just barely what's needed but like, if we had half the gravity we could have gone in to space like 400 years ago possibly, of course we would have died up there, but it would have been possible

Ethonal rockets were the first thing to go in to space, and ethonal has been made for thousands of years, it's basically drinking alchohol. A really stupid society could have gotten in to space if it evolved on a low gravity planet 🤔

We may not be very strong, nor may we be able to take a lot of damage over a sustained period of time, that’s a given,
But we are still heavily resilient.
We have an immensely rapid healing rate. That’s why we scar over, and why our scars on large wounds are so ugly. The body is so efficient at immediate repair that it leaves behind these disgusting remains. We don’t have to worry about hair or camouflage or anything like that to survive.

We can survive highly traumatic injury. Where many animals in the kingdom would die from shock immediately after something like losing an arm, we can mitigate it both in terms of mental fortitude and bodily reactivity.

We are built for endurance. Even today, the endurance of humans is almost unparalleled in the animal kingdom. We can keep on a jog or march longer than many animals can survive a run

Well I'd argue we are more like the eldar, intelligence glass cannons, or the imperial guard, willing to rush head first in to battle evne if we die, like in WWI or even WWII

The sort of strong will, so I guess we are like the imperial guard. Humans heal slowly compared to other animals sadly. I guess we are just really tenacious and have a lot of willpower, and will blow ourselves up or run headfirst in to battle if need be

one way I compare our fragility is that cows can eat grass all day despite all the dirt and bacteria and end up fine, and wolves and cats and whatnot can eat raw meat. Yet human digestive systems such so much we can't do eitheir and were basically shit until we had fire

our inherent fragility forced us to be smart about things, and this lead to us developing technology to compensate. For example, rats can produce vitamin C, but humans can't, so we had to eat fruit and develop color vision, and becoming more visual forced us to be more intelligent (our eyes are like 20% of our brain). Visual identification requires a lot of higher thought instead of instinctive thought like smelling, and so this forced us to get smarter

Humans can eat raw meat, it’s just better for our stomachs not to.
Cattle can eat grass even if it’s dirty because they have several stomachs, promoting a heavily enriched gut fauna Chewing the cud also stops cattle from getting any cuts in their digestive tract, which keeps bacteria from the gut out of the bloodstream

Well, raw meat is likely to have parasites and bacteria in it that isn't cooked. One in every so many kills will have stuff that will instantly make us sick and possibly die

That is an interesting question, although I believe humans though had a hard time digesting it early on; wolves have a lot of antibacterial stuff in their wounds where as if humans do this we are likely to infect it which is more likely to kill us xD

I posit the latter. The transmission of healthy bacterial enzymes from mother to infant is well documented in breast feeding. Early humans, all the way to the Greeks and the Romans, would readily consume raw meat with only marginal difficulty.

Human babies must be taken care of where as like deers come out walking straight out of the womb. The human fragility lead to us having to take very good care of our young, and not being able to have as many, thus having to invest a lot more in to each kid and raise them more, thus leading to future generations being smarter and smarter
