so is he gonna be charged with a hate crime?
Well speech is a protected right. Civil disobedience can easily be a crime and often includes trespassing and vandalism. In this case trespassing on energy facilities. Trespassing by Greens who, by the way, like to practice industrial sabotage.
And, not to put to fine a point on it we require a lot of safety training and certification before we let people work with things like million gallon tanks of volatile petrochemicals. And do not allow unqualified individuals to go around turning valves. This is from a general aversion to *huge fucking explosions*.
oh if we are talking about them getting near stuff like that then sure, they need to be kept well away form that.
so i could assume that what the headline is calling "Civil Disobedience" is something closer to "destruction of property" or outright terrorism?
Yeah I just looked up the facilities covered. I actually worked in petrochem for a few years. Some of these are now under DHS regulations because they are the sort of thing terrorists wank to blowing up.
well as long as we are infact talking about actively entering into an area like that and not just standing out front with a sign.
but yah i do agree that while protests are a protected activity blocking roads and causeing damage is not protected.
And, reading the Bill rather than Common Dreams, The Intercept, or Pravda it is a misdemeanor charge.
One should always pay more than their fair share of attention to the government's definition of protest in contrast to their definition of criminal action
If that's true, a misdemeanor charge for demonstration is shockingly reasonable
Good on WV
So what Disney is trying to rig the election to make Pete win

No more Creamy Surprises from Andy Yang
It's leaning towards Sanders no surprise there.
Sanders 15,781 28.0
Buttigieg 12,944 23.0
Klobuchar 11,011 19.6
Warren 6,048 10.7
Biden 4,516 8.0
this is at 23% of the counting
Yang and Bennet have now dropped out of the race
Yang dropped out?
Andrew Yang tells supporters he's ending his campaign: "You know I am the math guy, and it is clear tonight from the numbers that we are not going to win this race. I am not someone who wants to accept donations and support in a race that we will not win." https://t.co/V0W44DZca3 pic.twitter.com/bBH4CoXxqV

It's a bit early to call, but it looks like it's gonna be Sanders vs Buttigieg for the nomination.
inb4 hillary enters last minute with 60% superdelegate vote
Let's see what happens in South Carolina. Buttplug and Sanders aren'ttoo popular down there
but it could well be Buttplug vs Bernie
and Little Pete isn't a moderate by any measure, I hope you all realize this
Votes Percent Delegates
Sanders 19,031 27.6 3
Buttigieg 16,015 23.2 3
Klobuchar 13,573 19.7 0
Warren 6,991 10.1
Biden 5,653 8.2 0
Yang 1,992 2.9 0
Gabbard 1,997 2.9 0
that's at 31%
@Object of Hate do you really stiil need yang in there?
just wanted to give you Biden and copypasted Yang in to give us Gabbard
another thing to consider, are any of the candidates who have fallen out of the race up to being in a possible future Dem Cabinet? (Not that I see any of the current crop winning in November vs Trump)
