@Liquidor my approach: only two colors would be available for indicating status. gray for offline, and green (or some color commonly associated with an "active" state, i.e. not red) means online. Youtube and twitch could just be indicated by a symbol or something within the circle. So i.e. offline yt would be gray with the yt symbol visible, online yt is just a green circle with the symbol. Offline twitch would be gray like the yt and read the same to users color wise, but closer inspection of the symbols shows that they are on different websites. Online twitch would appear very similar to online yt with a green fill, but the symbols are always available if the distinction between which site they are on is important.
