Intell they can uphold freedom of speech everywhere there talking out there ass.

2020-02-08 00:25:37 UTC

Can we at least not hate the flag?... That's even more cringe

2020-02-08 00:26:22 UTC

You don't have to hate the flag to not worship it

2020-02-08 00:28:30 UTC

Wonder if the discount can be used as the deposit... Since the LTV will be 30/70

Is it better to build a home yourself rather than buying these prefabs

2020-02-08 00:29:16 UTC

They'll spend at least as much as they're getting knocked off fixing issues with them

2020-02-08 00:30:34 UTC

They won't be pre fab

2020-02-08 00:31:34 UTC

The gov actually puts higher standards on affordable housing than private housing... Ironically

2020-02-08 00:39:52 UTC

it's always better to build your own home

2020-02-08 00:39:58 UTC

however, it's a very large task

2020-02-08 00:40:15 UTC

and it breaks a lot of relationships if you're not a very very strong couple with good communications

2020-02-08 00:40:52 UTC

Context is taken from my wife being an architect and us planning to build our own home and doing a fair amount of research on it

2020-02-08 00:41:34 UTC

It's probably the only way now in Britain

2020-02-08 00:41:50 UTC

Thats what I'm gonna do. Then I own the thing.

2020-02-08 00:42:04 UTC

How easy is it to get land and planning permission to do it? I imagine that and getting connected in to utilities are among the harder things to do?

2020-02-08 00:42:24 UTC

Planning isn't hard if you know what you're doing

2020-02-08 00:42:44 UTC

and getting utilities isn't hard again, if you know what you're doing and you're not building in the highlands

2020-02-08 00:42:55 UTC

if you're somewhere normal like a villiage - shouldn't be to hard

2020-02-08 00:43:04 UTC

Or buy a run down gourguen / Victoria house in the middle of nowhere.

2020-02-08 00:43:23 UTC

It's literally our only options here now.

2020-02-08 00:43:54 UTC

And it will take as long you will hit retirement

2020-02-08 00:43:54 UTC

getting land - mine and my partners deal is that we live in a villiage that's owned by a senior politician in the cons party - and the land is very aged - we're hoping to take a lease hold of a slice of their 1000 acher property

2020-02-08 00:44:39 UTC

lease holds are nice because you get stat right to aquire at a fair market value and you can put all your money into the building and banks don't care if you have a long enough term

2020-02-08 00:45:08 UTC

1000 achers? Your Lords or somthing?

2020-02-08 00:45:15 UTC

they're lords indeed

2020-02-08 00:45:31 UTC

Of cource they are.

2020-02-08 00:45:42 UTC

old old family villiage

2020-02-08 00:45:45 UTC

but it's ran very nicely

2020-02-08 00:46:03 UTC

So how did you get that deal?

2020-02-08 00:46:05 UTC

and actually is very very nice to work with the estate management

2020-02-08 00:46:20 UTC

renting one of their properties from them>

2020-02-08 00:46:31 UTC

just having enough cash each month to pay the 1300 rent mainly

2020-02-08 00:46:32 UTC

hahahha

2020-02-08 00:46:46 UTC

but everything around this area is around that price

2020-02-08 00:47:07 UTC

So you never own? What is the point?

2020-02-08 00:47:13 UTC

Wow, that's over 3x my mortgage payments, but I do live in a cheap area of the country

2020-02-08 00:47:19 UTC

At the moment I don't, we're planning to build

2020-02-08 00:47:23 UTC

that's what I'm talking about

2020-02-08 00:47:29 UTC

I see.
