There isn't some tremendous force of literal evil against humanity rn lol. It's just groups of people that have too much power who are acting in their own interest while the greater people have little to show of themselves
I'm not religious lol
Soon enough we'll begin reaching pre French revolution levels of inequality in regards to land and wealth distribution
Not a treeman either lolcat.jpg ( š)
If the economy is not righter and the multinationals dealt with then sooner or later there will be some kind of violent movement against them, it's only a matter of time really
Yeah, yeah, yeah... Revolutions and periodical power grabs, cyclical symptom of our pretty hUmans inhabiting the land..
No. I mean, this shit can't go on forever until we accidentally annex ourselves don't you think?!
Well government appropriates land from the citizenry all the time, it's called eminent domain
They don't even do it for the purposes of public installations all the time either, frequently it's for the sake of some corporation or another
.
We know, we need a framework but at the same time we (royal) also understand the need for operating space on the individual level.
Governments always start out small, then as time goes on they expand as much they can get away with .
If we finally really want to live in a **civilised** society, we need to be a much more *integrated* and self-productive part of our world. **Not a livestock like extension of any given local government**. /I'm talking in general/
the size of a government isnt necessarily a bad thing
the size of a government isnt necessarily a bad thing
its entirely determinant on who exactly is being a member within that government
So, until we had people who could resist the temptation of power, we shouldn't have large governments. What do you think?
not necessarily resist the temptation of power, having someone power hungry in charge isnt inherently a bad thing
you just need for them to care about prolonging their stay in power by appeasing the people rather than appeasing oligarchs
Appeasing the people... what a vague thing to say...
I want my fully submissive sexy housewive rn please so if my preferred dictatorship gives that to me I'll be happy and everything's cool? Yeah no, that's not how it works.
I know what's best for me, no one else knows it better than I do. Hence why it's important that each citizen has sole control over their own lives.
I also don't care what the majority wants for themselves or for me. I literally don't care. They don't know what's best for me or for society at large any better than I do.
This is why ethics should be mainly in the hands of the people. The politicians shouldn't enforce morality for all people like it's a one-size-fits-all.
And I already know what counter argument people always bring up to this: "but what if the morality of someone is to kill or oppress others?"
Well then they're infringing on individualism, aren't they? So that's not gonna fly in a society that has ethics in its own hands.
The oppressor becomes the de facto ruler, so the only thing we really need to worry about is protection from an oppressor.
ā1. Things are happening, some of them bad.
2. Underpants........
3. Therefore fascism is preferable to the impending dystopia!ā
Yeah tbh I agree with step 3. With the way shit is going rn Iād prefer living under Mussolini, because __at least__ then my nation could recover afterwards.
Hint: Hitler is the reason why white supremacists can't get a foot in the door these days.
He's the catch-all to stop any WN argument dead in its tracks.
So if you want anything even remotely close to WN, ironically you'll have to take a much less radical approach.
Well Snake you might want to take a look at what happened to Italy. Hint it makes our current problems look like a vacation.
And ETB? My arguments about fascism and socialism would apply as much, if not more so to Mussolini who was not WN.
Right now sure, but I see blood in the River dude.... this shit is going to get really messy and really bad, soon.
AH so you are also from the school of imagined imminent catastrophe. Have I stolen your dreams and childhood Greta?
I mean, you can mock me all you want man, but we see the country is more divided than ever and that the center is starting to collapse, with both sides going to more extremes. I have data to support this
I mean, sure I guess political division on civil war levels of bad isnāt anything to worry about. As well as millions of Hispanics forming their own nation. Ik you donāt care for race so Iāll point to ācultureā so 67 million families donāt speak English most of which is Spanish speakers
Time for Khorne when. Whoops, wrong chat, lol. Still.
As well as resource shortages, climate issues, refugee crisis, etc etc. I donāt think itās as bad as what Greta says it is, but itās still a problem added onto the other issues.
I guess none of that is a problem though. We should just act like normal consumers and go back to work while there is a massive pandemic, oh and also nuclear war is still a possibility
eternal boomer likes to deny the current political climate and all of the bills that either get lobbied for or even passed
Fascism is more preferable than to have this going on. I donāt think it would fix this problem. Itās just something Iād be willing to switch out with
in all honesty fascism is not a system that anyone would benefit from quick implementation, its a massive reform of corporations operating within the country as well as the government ministers in charge of everything, it would take many years to get anything running, and running under a peacetime economy would certainly change things relative to our real world examples
I'm not mocking you I am mocking the formulation that because of an imagined future threat one should embrace a known and proven threat. Hence my reference to Greta. Nor have I once denied the problems that exist.
I'd also correct your '67 million' stat. The census says 20% speak *another language* **In the home** and that for 10% it is Spanish. This is not the same as 20% not knowing English. If we are to address our nations problems we need to describe them accurately.
