they're scientifically conducted
peer reviewed
the whole nine yards
it's not how many successfully commit suicide, it's actually how many ATTEMPT it iirc
Human beings are *complex* creatures with a whole myriad of interacting factors.
41% is post gender reassignment surgery. The brain doesn't deal well with zero sexual organs and spirals into suicidal tendencies.
25% is the real statistic for pre-operation transwomen, which is still high.
if you still want to go through with this and not seek help, that's fine, as long as you fully understand the ramifications of your actions and the risks involved
no
Again, read above.
it's actually the same before and after surgery
based on the leading statistics
Citation.
the video above for one
Unless they've not bothered to separate the two.
but for the sake of argument let's assume you're correct, 25% is still ridiculously high
as far as i can tell transgenderism is a lie
Oh absolutely.

this is pretty spicy tbh
I don't doubt that for a second.
I did have professional help.
probably some nutjob like my cousin saw who told her to do what makes her happy
what good did that do her
The big problem people fail to see, is that transitioning *is* the therapy for GID/GD. It's the one road that has the lowest amount of serious issues afterward.
no it's not
GID doesn't go away, but it can be reduced to a healthy standard.
Mutilating your genitals instead of curing the mental disorder isn't that smart an idea.
the root problem is depression and a chemical imbalance in the brain
Most trans girls I know don't want to mutilate themselves. I've never even met a transwoman who is willing.
let's stray from anecdotals
they don't matter
what matter is the facts
except apparently higher suicide rate afterwards <:pepelaugh:544857300179877898>
Almost like a human instinct to realise that self-harm isn't the solution.
ya exactly
Infact, I'd wager that the only people who do surgery is transtrenders.
if you believe the therapy IS transitioning, why tf is it worse after the surgery?
I'd presume that the rates post-transition are so HIGH is because of how crude our current methods of transitioning are. If we get to a point where we have near-flawless transition methods, there'd probably be a decrease of some kind (though I'm not even sure how much it would decrease, if at all)
That and those who have serious self harm complications as a result of GID.
lol
