Hmm there’s a possibility that people Native Americans descended from are no more a thing.

But from what I remember they were completely different from the modern-day North-Eastern Asians.

You know there are some populations which were completely replaced, like the Proto-Asiatics.

According to their oral tradition the Jurchen people splitted into the Manchus and people who settled Korea, then Japanese Emperors (Yayoi people who settled Japan and became Yamato) believed themselves to too came from Koreans.
