redid the trunoins and top cover to make it easier to machine
You could save some weight by shortening the back end up the the grip and then just having an AR buffer tube hold the spring
You could use those pistol braces too if you did that
I hope you dont think im trying to poopoo your shit, I just think its cool as fuck
no bro ur fine
i'm kinda hesitant to put pistol braces on homemade guns because then it invites even more speculation to a very gray area
looks nice dude, I really like it
would love to see what it looks like when its finished
you can download it here if you want
Thanks
Yeah that could attract some unwanted eyes
Especially at a public range
Whatever happened to that mini CNC machine that would do 80% Glock and AR lowers for you?
they still sell them
found it
yup
Looks cool as hell
i wonder if it only does lowers or if you can have it do other parts
yeah but small parts like for firearms
all of the hardware is there, you'd just need a different controller, or figure out how to upload gcode to the standard controller
instead of dropping 10k on a real CNC machine that im not trained on
Aaah okay
thats set up for aluminum though
so you can't really do steel parts
it's basically a router
which is fine for most people
its not great for anything else
ah shit
didnt even think of that
what parts are you trying to do
you also may consider 3d printing the parts and then casting them
instead of cnc
you'd still need to come back and clean those up
yea but it works ok
I know a guy doing this for prototyping
actually very similar, its small arms dev to
only manufacturing airsoft guns in here right boys?
