in the 90s and early 2000s there was this videogame mag called tips and tricks

it was like the only one my mom would get cuz it was printed on shitty newspaper style paper and cheaper than anything else

and they had these monthly tournaments where you'd submit your robot design from AC and they would pit them against each other
