i mean if you think about it theres remnants of goldsrc in source engine/source film maker which i thinks whats being used right there. which itself is modified quake engine iirc... you can really trace the line of computer graphics animation tech, gaming and fantasy world making into this. in many ways its a statement of the power in the hands of every user nowadays, that they can create such complex and imaginative works. on a technical level its far superior and impactful than toy story 1 and a bugs life
