Why does that affect the kid so much?

It’s like it completely ruins their views on marriage and commitment

yeah cuz they watched their parents make mistakes their entire lives and they don't wanna repeat that

I think it's pretty obvious why it effects kids to see their parents fighting and ultimately break up

But to completely give up on marriage?
