swastika is perennial indo european symbol
The eagles, though. Swasis are boring as fuck and overrated as hell, but them eagles are nice.
>Ivan brings a girl over: “why do you have a nazi flag and a Soviet flag on your wall?” “O-oh it’s j-just the aesthetic h-haha...”
I've explained my way past it before.
There's nothing so strangely satisfying as seeing a Russian girl sleeping soundly under a Nazi flag.
Cringe
Everything is cringe anyway.
I stopped caring long ago. People like what they like, and I like weird historical relics.
Merzbow, I've not heard that name in years. Nice.
Wait, there's a Jewish one? That's actually hilarious.
yes the swastika is a symbol in almost every culture
I was aware already, but I didn't know Jews used it.
its just like how hindus and buddhists use the "star of david"
when they came up with it before
Weird how one group of Jerries with under 2 decades of use of that thing can ruin thousands of years of heritage for everyone.
this was an american infantry battalions symbol for a long time
I rather like the look of that eagle.
Not as aesthetic as the German ones, but nice and geometrical.
Really though, can somebody here explain how the Nazi usage of such a common and old symbol ruined it for everyone without just blaming Jews?
Like, holy fuck it does not compute.
It didn't ruin the symbol
It was portrayed as a symbol of hate
by obvious actors
It made it basically impossible to use in any form in the West, which is kind of ruining it for a lot of people.
Even the Hindus can't get away with it over here now.
Yeah they can
I bought brass hindu swastikas on fucking amazon
that i have hung in my room
Yeah, and I have a Nazi flag with five of the damn things on it.
Neither of us would go out with these things showing, though.
Availability does not mean acceptability.
I've met a couple of Hindu guys who've mentioned wanting to wear swasis but being heavily advised against it by their own families here in Australia.
