To be "consistent" with this concept of "You're transphobic if you wouldn't date a 'girl' with a penis even if you're straight" they need to deconstruct the entire concept of sexual orientation to begin with
which was just shambled together to make conceptualizing and tolerating gay people easier in the first place

By rigidly enforcing sexual orientation which ironically is a "social construct", they allowed people to have discriminatory sexual preferences as long as they tolerated other people's preferences
but now they need to call it into question, when they said men can just be, say, heterosexual, they didn't really ask why

I remember an incident last year I got into an argument with some sperg who was trying to argue that having racial dating preferences is racist, and I said "well, does that mean anyone who isn't bisexual is sexist?", and they said something to the likes of "that's different, that's a sexual orientation". Like how can you be completely oblivious to the fact that the only difference here is one has a semantic label lmao.
