Osu doesn't even have a good pool of songs, it's ALL screechy anime dubstep music. Its a bad game on all fronts

the handful that aren’t are asians who use IEMs with 10dB bass boosts and audio technica/stax headphones with no bass at all

I think osu still uses 128kbps so its not only a shitty game but its shitty audio

expecting some shitty ADHD video game to use decent quality audio is like expecting a downie to be able to wipe his own ass after shitting

hell outside of shooters that use DSP/binaural effects for sonic imaging purposes i would say no game has decent quality audio

sound files are almost always in .ogg format

I dunno man, in the rhythm game sphere i'd say osu has the worst audio quality. The other rhythm games I know all use the highest quality audio you can possibly throw at it

but games in general, yeah i wouldn't expect high quality audio

i’m not too familiar with what other rhythm games use

just in general most people are playing this shit on their shitty laptop speakers on earpods so i highly doubt the devs themselves put much effort into proper audio playback

making sure the game has enough flashing lights and colors is probably more important to them than jitter or bitperfection or whatever
