From the sky it comes, to the sky it rises, and down to Earth it must come again, eternally changing. There is an “up” and “down”, a “way-to” and “way-back”, in the form of an always changing circulation. Everything has been made by God out of the Chaos or the Void. Nature is a combination of the visible and invisible worlds, containing visible and invisible creatures, all of which function due to the essence and presence of God.
The term World is defined as all created beings whether they be invisible or visible. The term nature is understood by the working law of motion, impressed from the beginning of the world by the almighty Creator upon all these created beings by His eternally uncreated World. The influence of the mover, or doer, is Him. The sufferer, or passive recipient is her. The whole of nature is comprised of the male doer or mover, who is a spiritual being, and the female moved or sufferer who is a tangible or corporeal being, in regard to his moving spirit. Air is the passive corporeal female recipient relative to the spiritual male fire. Water is the passive female corporeal recipient relative to the spiritual male Air. Earth is the passive corporeal female recipient relative to the spiritual male Water. All mentioned reactions between elements are originally made effective by the universal World Spirit, Him. Since the effects of Nature only occur according to the inborn properties of natural things, while practice of the Arts, the spiritual doer, must faithfully follow Nature, the corporeal sufferer, and cannot achieve anything useful without her; all practical investigation of Nature undertaken without preliminary correct knowledge of the universal World Spirit and the created properties of those natural things in which the work is done, turn out as foolish and fruitless.
