should I get one of these cheapos or keep saving for a better one
don't get a cheapo, they won't last.
save a bit more.
there's also this even cheaper Weller that at least would be less torture than my stupid soldering pen

The features i wanted most were analog pot adjustment with either printed C/F temp labels OR a C/F switch and digital temp display--i just wanna see my temps--and then a spring holder, and wide enough to be hard to knock over. I dont need super high wattage yet and i only need it to last a couple years or less
Someone on EEVblog discord recommends the Hakko over the X-Tronic, and while i like the design of the X-Tronic much more, there are definitely people saying it wont last a year
I really dont know if i like the interface on the 951 enough to spend 236 dollars on it
god dam pokemon tower lookin fuggin thing
what the frick is a driver update
A driver is a small bit of programming that instructs the computer on how to operate a specific piece of hardware(typically). Driver updates tend to deal with security holes but sometimes they also improve the efficiency of how the hardware operates
and as complicated most commuter's are now, it not a surprise you see drivers update all the time
