$350 -- seems like a bad deal
fucking Kickstarter

Literally basically their kickstarter video

kek
the case isn't even that nice
that case is legit big enough to hold 2 breadboards
this is a little better but i did it in just a few minutes
@M4Gunner HAHAHA I've seen 14 years old solder and they didn't manage to make such a shabby job
joking, you could use some practice, but if you are just learing it's not that bad at all
be careful, some of those look like cold joints (I'm not sure how they are called in english), which means that they look to be connected, but the sligthest movement causes them to, well, not conduce electricity
while still looking connected no less
I'll have to test for that
can you give me a redline 🤣
is it just the biggest globby joints?
those too
it's difficult to spot because they are going to work diring the test. But at random times they will fail, say, because the component heats up and something expands, or just plain mechanical stess
but really, it's not going to happen. It's a pretty easy circuit, you should be fine. Just remember it can happen and you will save yourself days of headaches.
How do you think Trump’s phone got monitored by China and Russia? Do you think he wasn’t keeping his software up to date?
chinese firmware
@Ondsinet thanks. its difficult to tell what to look for, as those dont look much crappier than the surrounding joints
I'm thinking i could stress-test the Nano's joints by simply mounting it to my little UGV, which suffers from vibration enough it tends to knock screws out -- so if a ledpin cut out on hardwood, it should flicker at least
in fact all my work with little ground vehicles will have to assume a "high-vibration environment"
toiny moicros
btw i did NOT mean to order these in SMD and am retarded
they look alot like bios chips
theyre more like a stripped down arduino cpu
<:oof:494878589406150657>
not easy putting that little shit on is it?
my hand was jerking pretty violently trying to keep it still, and my phone can see it better than i can
those should be done by a machine, and only a human if they absolutely have to
ive already reordered them in DIP 😂 🔫
true
Smd it's feasible
too smol
im gonna have to get some thinner solder than .5mm
