"You mean rolling my own plastic cheese sauce is not 100% free of risk?"
you have a lot of idiots out there, like the ones that think using a rebreather when you are dealing with solvents in paintjobs are not needed if you just hold your breath while you spray and as soon as you turn of the spray it all fine
@Ondsinet damn best of luck 👍
A new RPi came out

Holy shit.
that is why I see most pre builds as a scam as you can do much better your self for much cheaper and 2 min on YT you find comprehensive guides even for the dumbest cave man to do it your self for free
building your first computer is not without its challenges
Building my first computer was without any challenges.
building a computer today is almost easier then Lego as most stuff only fit one place
well buying all the compatible parts was a bit rough for me, but someone could have made it a lot easier if they had explained "basically you have to pair your choice of CPU and motherboard first and go from there"
but it would have been easy to buy a really slow hard drive and nerf myself
and i remember making sure all my TPD wasnt too much for whichever choice of power supply, but in the process learning that modern components really dont need more than a $35 PSU unless youre making some crazy system
and it didnt help that my OS is not supported on Skylake boards
>Os
The fuck OS you running?
Win7
its a bitch to install
Oh yeah, I forgot that.
I broke it 😖
tried to solder a jumper onto VDD pin, did a shitty job and it wont turn on anymore, removed it, checked that power is coming through the board, it is, but the pin wont show 5v on multimeter anymore
now noticing its 6am and i wasted my whole night
tomorrow ill try giving the pin 5v from arduino and see if the IC boots up--then if it does, look for a way to bridge the connection if i fucked up a trace, or else desolderit in case i left a short.
still waiting for solder wick
<:gun_mouth:510320222365024268> 🔫 👌

lol
lol
The CD player vid looks interesting I'll watch later
I think my mistake was that i soldered jumpers onto the IC with power still running through the board
this can fry the chip yes?
Nooooo
Nooooooo
Yes
so i'm definitely an idiot?
im more upset that i destroyed my cool garbage than something that actually cost money
Yes
<:pepe_sad:378719408345841664>
i guess theres only one thing left to do, you know what that is?
