I used to race R/C cars so electric cars are kinda interesting
Interesting yes.
But unless its a loss leader sold alongside hybrids or gassers, they are useless from a business perspective.
Inb4 "Tesla is a super successful company"
They lost $1.5 billion this year, even more than last year, and they have never had a profitable year.
You need atleast 20% of your budget for development
Car Companies haven't bothered with Electric for 100 years
There were Electric cars before there was Petrol cars
Tesla is 100 years of catch up
in a short space of time
it doesn't matter if it loses money (it won't)
@Broo TulsiGang 2024 π¬π§ πΊπΈ electric motors and batteries have not been stagnant in the past 100 years. Car companies havent bothered with EVs for a reason: batteries are a terrible way to power a car.
Fact is tesla is already losing money, tons of it, and they lose more with every new product they introduce.
They are flat packing laptop batteries
but look at this thing
The bodywork is the battery
I mean it looks awesome.
But unless they charge a few million dollars for it, it will never make money
It's the bleading edge
Many Corollas paid for that
I cant tell if you are trying to make a point about EVs or changing the subject.
I am okay with the latter btw, i just dont know if thats what you are doing
Mate I want for myself a V8 Bullit Mustang
For the wife I want a Electric shit box cus she thinks a car is the same as a washing machine
Personally i would like to see more through the road hybrids.
Like a mustang with a mid displacement 4.6L powering the rear wheels and a 200hp electric motor powering the front
Heck it could still have a manual transmission.
nahhh
that's one foot in the grave
For me V8, I'll enjoy it
For Mrs Normie
Eh
Hybrids are where the market is headed.
electric run-about
Hybrids and dual clutch transmissions
