also I had this discussion earlier, the gt86 is gonna likely cost half as much as even the cheapest "supra" option

so it doesn't really occupy the same market segment at all

honestly the hype over the new "supra" is entirely based on the name, nothing about the car reflects its origins. It's like the new nsx compared to the original, it's the automotive equivalent of an amy schumer joke; unfunny and gross

I'd argue the NSX is a legitimate replacement

It's still a Honda, mid engine, and sufficiently advanced enough to show off the brand.

the original nsx was supposed to be a pure driving car, light, nimble with incredible road feel and feedback
